Well he had to cancel his spring and summer tour due to personal circumstances but the man is on the road again this fall with Tommy Larkins on drums. So if you're lucky, he may be coming your way.

Alriiiiiiiiiiiight  Went to Barcelona Forum infodesk on Catalunya yesterday and the woman told me Jonathan Richman had already been and gone. There´ll be some irate letters on Monday morning I tellya.

i saw him this past june and it was a lot of fun - esp b/c i was on painkillers from getting my wisdom teeth out. hooray for jojo!

I saw him yesterday. He was extremely funny and friendly. He's an amazing guitar player too, it was a complete surprise for me: I guess is human nature to underrate a dancing bear.
One hour show. There was no encores, I don't know why, 'cause the crowd was into it and he seems to have fun. People was a bit dissapointed for having no encores, and me too, but it was a great show after all.

I saw him at v96 in warrington and he is the only act I remember anything about, he was pretty damned good.

does he ever do encores? he didn't in manchester as far as i remember, but he'd been playing for ages and ages, it was just like "i'm not bothering with that encore shit, i'm just going to keep on playing until our time runs out" - and good on him! encores have become so phony! when was the last time a crowd *didn't* clap for an encore? well, badly drawn boy nye 2000 in manchester, but that's because he's a nob and he stormed off anyway...

I hate the encore thing too. Some people clap only 'cause they think: Hey!, I've paid for at least two more songs, so get your ass out and play for me!
It's horrible, but seems like one encore has become a standard nowadays, so when I don't get one I break my brain for a day or two thinking: What has been wrong here?

I'm probably going to see him in Cleveland in November. He had a show scheduled last June, I believe, but it got canceled. I'm looking forward to it.
