Anybody ever heard of this group? I'm not saying I like them (folkish stuff) but I'm trying to get some sense of how well known they are.

I've heard of them, but I don't think I've ever heard an entire song by them. I think that, despite the name, they're actually from Virginia.

"Eddie From Ohio" has nothing to do with "ed fROMOHIO" - strange but true. this has perplexed me even in recent days.

yes, i wondered the same thing about the ed fROMOHIO thing - but then i heard the music of Eddie From Ohio and i pretty much guaranteed that it wasn't our beloved fIREHOSE alum

Even if it's not Ed Crawford, do we know which came first? Was one of these Eds from Ohio inspired by the other?

according to allmusic.com - "They got the name Eddie from Ohio from (Eddie) Hartness, whose girlfriend started calling him "Eddie from Ohio" after eD fROMOHIO, a member of the now-defunct group fIREHOSE."
