Well, we did beat you in the 1950 World Cup. (DAMN, too slow)
Back in the 80s who would of thought that a US rider would win 9 out of the last 19 Tour de Frances? |

there was also that scrimmage back in the late 70's, where England forefit because they were late for their plane.

I don't think we are better than everyone else, in fact I know we are not. We are top 8 in the world though. All English know we are not the best, we do our best to slag the team off at every opportunity, whilst simultaniously getting right behind them. We're a weird bunch.
I think the US have an OK team now. Hardly great but not bad, capable of creating a shock no doubt. For God's sake, South Korea got to the semis of the last World Cup!
Also, watch out for Jonathan Spector, the 18 year old defender who plays alongside Tim Howard (the US goalkeeper) at my boys, Manchester United. He is going to be a terrific player for us and the US. He is in our first team right now and playing superbly.
Now bring on Rooney!
