                      | Here we go, 'These Words' by Natasha Bedingfield
 Threw some chords together
 The combination D-E-F
Is who I am, is what I do
No one's gonna let it down for you
 Try to focus my attention
 But I feel so A-D-D
I need some help, some inspiration
 (But it's not coming easily)
 Whoah oh...

 Trying to find the magic
 Trying to write a classic
Don't you know, don't you know, don't you know?
 Waste-bin full of paper
 Clever rhymes, see you later

 These words are my own
 >From my heart flown
I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you
 There's no other way
 To better say
I love you, I love you...

Read some Byron, Shelly and Keats
Resided in over a Hip-Hop beat
I'm having trouble saying what I mean
With dead poets and drum machines
I know I had some studio time booked
 But I couldn't find a killer hook
Now you're gonna raise the bar right up
Nothing I write is ever good enough

 These words are my own
 From my heart flown
I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you
 There's no other way
 To better say
I love you, I love you...

 I'm getting off my stage
 The curtains pull away
No hyper bowl to hide behind
 My naked soul exposes
Whoah.. oh.. oh.. oh.. Whoah.. oh..

 Trying to find the magic
 Trying to write a classic
 Waste-bin full of paper
 Clever rhymes, see you later

 These words are my own
 >From my heart flown
I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you
 There's no other way
 To better say
 I love you...
I love you, is that okay...?

The interesting thing is, I love this song to bits. Its so catchy.

 Kind regards,
 Dr. Simon

Sorry Ebb were you expressing another tunnel-visioned world according to ebb poor excuse for an opinion then? Primus are not troll rock. That beardy fellow is a troll. (serj/serge?)

                      | i didn't say troll i said stampy.
you can try to be clever and insult me all day but it's not going to make system of a down any less shitty.

they are probably one of the worst bands of the '90s. the first time i heard of them i was like 'what kind of fucking retard came up with that stupid ass name?'

then i heard one of their songs, and then i saw one of their videos and all was explained.

                      | And if you got your carer to read my previous post out to you carefully you little bile bag you'd realise I said I wanted to listen to stampy troll rock.
I like them because they are funny, not prolific or profound or seminal in any way but the man looks like a troll and the songs make me grin because they are moronic, so lighten up bitch.

And as for trying really hard to be clever and insulting I forgot you already had the corner on that particular market, can't you just get that your taste doesn't define the taste of everyone else?

                      | I don't see what's so awful about that SOAD lyric. It's nowhere near the FromageFactor(tm) of Muskrat Love, imo. I'm not familiar with the posted SOAD song but I do like Sugar a lot. I found Sugar to be different-sounding and creative.

                      | I'm kinda pissed, this topic was rather dead until I posted the White Snake lyrics and then BOOM! it took off.
So how about those WhiteSnake lyrics, pretty terrible huh?

I agree with you. that album ain't half-bad... Don't really care much for everything they've put out after that.

                      | I cannot think of the band, but right in the begining of the song it talks about "Hangin' out in the back of El Camino". Is it Sum 41. This song is so bad it is not even worth trashing.

                      | I have friends who would say that Alanis Morrissette is the best contestant.
 I don't know, I'm afraid to look.

 I heard this today:

 He's a spacer
 A star chaser
 A spacer

 He's a ladies man
Always greets with a kiss on the hand
 He protects us all
At the ready to answer our call

In his own special way he is gentle and kind
 Opression he hates
 Love in his eyes
My heart skips a beat when I'm by his side

 In our galaxy
You can't trust everyone that you meet
 I'm so lucky
He's the only on [should be "one"] I'll ever need

 He will blast off tonight
He puts his life on the line everytime he's in flight
 A man you can't trace
But our love will last beyond time and space

 -- "Spacer" - Sheila & B. Devotion, 1979. Sung in a French accent on a disco tune.

                      | Tre, who sings 'elevation'? I thought I'd heard some bad lyrics, but really?
Most of these songs have at least some merit, for example Muskrat Love is obviously an extended metaphor.

I have no problem with near-rhymes, no-rhymes, same-word-rhymes. Get over it! What FB did was a statement, I love that part of the song. Ozzy's was a bit weak, but it's a great song.

Anyway, I heard a song on the radio that made me choke, in retrospect it's not so bad but here's a piece of it anyways...

Lie Down (B. Cummings) (The Guess Who)

Have a disease-free summer in Asia
Have a good old roughy tumble in Japan
Have a disease-free winter in Dauphin
 And lie down
 Lie down

I was pretty sure he was singing STDs here.

                      | There is a spanish band called Amaral (Supose nobody here know them, they opened for Dylan in spanish tour)with an excellent song "El mundo al reves" but I hate its lyrics. I just want to learn how to play my guitar to do a cover.

                      | Well, a loon wouldn't necessarily ALWAYS believe the opposite of what's true. Therefore, I don't think it's possible to determine whether or not the advice was actually good. It is, however, not ironic in the least.

                      | Artist: Stan Bush Lyrics Song: The Touch Lyrics

 You got the touch
 You got the power

After all is said and done
You've never walked, you've never run,
 You're a winner

You got the moves, you know the streets
Break the rules, take the heat
 You're nobody's fool

You're at your best when when the goin' gets rough
You've been put to the test, but it's never enough

 You got the touch
 You got the power

 When all hell's breakin' loose
You'll be riding the eye of the storm

 You got the heart
 You got the motion

You know that when things get too tough
 You got the touch

You never bend, you never break
You seem to know just what it takes
 You're a fighter

It's in the blood, it's in the will
It's in the mighty hands of steel
 When you're standin' your ground

And you never get hit when your back's to the wall
Gonna fight to the end and you're takin' it all

 You got the touch
 You got the power

 When all hell's breakin' loose
You'll be riding the eye of the storm

 You got the heart
 You got the motion

You know that when things get too tough
 You got the touch

 You're fightin' fire with fire
You know you got the touch

You're at your best when when the road gets rough
You've been put to the test, but it's never enough

 You got the touch
 You got the power

 You got the touch
 You got the power
