S'nS, is this the article which mentions the fact that Frank and Violet are expecting their first child?

I know this sounds horrible and I'm being incredibly selfish, but when I first read that all I could think of was, "shit, that's really gonna delay touring and the new album(s)." And then, of course, a few seconds later, I was happy and excited for them. But not at first. Feel free to smack me. |

I think it will be very good for him, he will be much nore inspired!(not that he wasn´t enough, just different) When you have kids the whole vision of the world changes... I wonder how will Frank feel when he becomes a daddy?

Where's the article? All I can find is a tiny section about shaking your hands and pointing at your friends.

So is there actually something in there saying that FB/V are expecting, or is this rumour and hearsay?

That's an awful cover. The photo stinks (great concept, are they angels?) and the puke green 70's computer font is terrible.
The 16 page oral history is intriguing though. |

My oh-so-cynical reaction: Maybe some front cover coverage promised to someone else in exchange for ad dollars fell through.
It's probably been a long time since Spin put an artist signed to an independent label on their cover. I wonder how long it's been, until to this Pixies issue, have they put an active artist signed to NO label on the cover. |

I just checked Spin online and it is not there: http://www.spin.com/
Anyone want to plan a virtual FB Forum baby shower with me if this news is true? |

I'm from Britain, and as far as I can tell it isn't sold here. So, saying that could someone please take the time (I know it's 16 pages long) to scan it for everyone to see.

I like the cover. In an unrelated note, Tron called. They want their font back. Yeah. I like it. |

I'm sure you can pick it up at specialty news agents, just like i have to go to a speial place to get a copy of the NME or melody maker. |

Here's the quote:
Thompson: "I'm going to be a dad, yes. It's in a whole other catagory of human experiences. Let's just say that I have the overwhelming feeling of having bigger fish to fry now. Will I play the kid pixies records? It's not something I've thought about. It's not one of my fantasies yet."
So I'm thinking Violet must be due very soon, or already had the baby. This interview was done months ago, and they're touring heavily from next month to Christmas. I can't imagine he'd be gone all that time if she was ready to pop. But I still don't see how she could tour with him, since she has other (school age, I'd imagine)kids. All I know is that I may never recover if the Florida shows in October get cancelled.

Well congrats to him. Yeah. If somebody scanned this thing I would be happy to type the whole thing out. I just rebroke my collarbone and am not moving very far for a while, so I really have nothing better to do. |

Someone scanned a copy over on the pixiesmusic.com forums. It's an amazing article. |
