Not for me this time but I'm living with this girl and she's been getting these obscene phone calls lately. I found her one day listening in horror so I grabbed the phone and began singing "Moon River" real off-key until the guy got so mad he hung up on me! Last night he called and I got talking to him asking questions like: did he hate his mother, and did he wet the bed, and right in the middle of explaining something he froze up, then got real mad and said 'Wait a minute! I know who you are! You're a phychiatrist!' Then he slammed the receiver in my ear.
Man, dirty talk is low, but there ain't nothing worse than being called a psychiatrist. |

People still make obscene phone calls in the era of caller ID/star 69? How retro!
Your story reminds me of this 70s movie called LITTLE MURDERS, written by Jules Feiffer. In it Elliot Gould tells a story about being a radical 1960s activist and one day he figured out the government was reading his mail. So he started writing letters to himself, meant to be read by the FBI agent who was opening his mail. And the two began a subversive communication between each other, ending up with the FBI agent suddenly gushing, in letters, about his anxieties and having a nervous breakdown. |
