I managed to get Sly & The Family Stone on today, and 'Disintegration' by the Cure, and Portishead's 'Portishead' Oh yeah, Violent Femmes too.

I tried taping bill hicks "relentless" and playing that at work, after his fourth fucking cocksucker or so I had to turn it off, the nurses didn't look impressed, they always seemed to swan into my "office" as he was having some sort of evil rant.

And Britpop was great fun! I got to dress entirely stupidly and sing in sanskrit, Kula Shaker were the first band I went to see sans parents. Good on you Shine, keep the brit pop alive!

And imo mellon collie.... is the best pumpkins record(s)

No conflicting tastes here - I work at home, and alone.

Some albums I listened to this afternoon:

FB - Honeycomb (promo advance copy - thanks Dave and Dean!)
BF - Trompe Le Monde
Calexico - Feast of Wire
Joe Strummer - Streetcore
The Chieftains - The Nashville Sessions
QOTSA - Rated R

I guess working from home offers the best chance to hear what you want.

Mostly some horrible soft pop radio stations. The choice of the majority.

Every fourth week or so I work with a bunch of guys with a fairly similar taste in music than mine. We take turns in bringing music along. Last week my Grandaddy compilation cd went down well.

I'm listening to Mudhoney on headphones right now while working. I don't think most of the people around me would approve, but I did borrow this from a nice teammate from Scotland.

I listen to city FM Amsterdam, the songs are usually quite crappy 70`s and 80`s song, but it still breaks the monotous periods of the work.

Frog, why did you say your Mom was ugly? You know it's not a nice thing to say about one's mother.

Face to Face - Don't Turn Away
Dayglo Abortions - Stupid Songs (compilation of first 3 albums)
Frank Black - S/T
3 Inches of Blood - Battlecry Under a Winter Sun (I used to work with Jamie Hooper)
Stone Roses - Complete Stone Roses
Pixies - Doolittle
Frank Black - Devil's Workshop
Manic Street Preachers - Everything Must Go
a burned disc of Spoon material
Replacements - Stink
Sugar - File Under Easy Listening
Pixies - disclive/eugene, or 4-28-04

Almost reacued by Sugar, Pixies and FB, but sunk by the Manics and Stone Roses.

Today we had Nick Drake, SMYT, Low - Things We Lost In The Fire, and Radiohead - OK Computer.
