Kids you gotta love em.

Last month we took a road trip from NY to Florida. Fun trip to make with a 4 and 5 year old . We made due with my CD walkman into the cassette player for our tunes. We had more than 40 CD to choose, the kid favorite was TOTY since they are already familiar with it. During one of my turns to drive I put in Something Good Is Going To Happen To You by Baboon, yes still one of my favorite CD's from 2002, and I hear my son sing along to the words of one song. "I've got something on everyone, yeah I've got something on everyone". It puts a smile on my face when he does that. Anyway, at the end of the song this is what was said.

son: play that again
me: which song
son: i got something on everyone
me: that's not the name of the song
son: what's its name
me: evil
son: I like evil dad. Play it again.

That made the wife and I laugh.

His favorite songs for most of the ride to be played back over and over where. Evil, Big Red, Space Is Gonna Do Me Good and Here Comes Your Man.

Here is a link to the Evil video. It sound better if you download it and play it from your hardrive, but you can also stream it with Windows Media Player.

Ahaaa! I love it. It still doesn't top your children's reference to Big Red as "The Hoo-Hoo Song", but it's up there.

This got buried so fast I almost forgot about it.

Sarah, I'm just glad my son didn't insist on taking his Wiggles CD on the trip. It's cute in the house, but we would go insane if we had to listen to 25 Wiggle songs in a row.
