It's free now, btw.

In version 9 you can control browser behavior settings (javascript, cookies, referrer logging, pop-ups, etc.) separately for every individual site.

yep, I've been using Opera as well. Just a pity some of the Google stuff doesn't work properly (calendar)

Downloaded Opera 9. I like it, but, i'm disappointed that there doesn't seem to be any RSS abilities

there is, just click on an RSS icon and it should take you through it. It can also act as a mail client

Does anyone else have a problem with Opera, when if you reload a certain page (say the FB forum homepage) it doesn't actually update it. Sometimes even showing older updates of the same page....
Or have i got some kind of browser curse on me.

I have never noticed a problem with this. My FBF bookmark goes to the Active Topics page. If Opera doesn't automatically show the active topics since "Last Visit on..." I either manually refresh or select a time from the pulldown menu.

Or you could try changing the following setting: Tools/Prefs/Advanced/History/Check if cached page is updated on server every...

I set it to 'Always'
That seems to have ironed out the problem. Thanks.
Now, i won't bother anyone with any more of my browser blunders.
