do you really know how to play backgammon? because it is pretty serious stuff in greece. most people think that backgammon is played as in the yahoo games section but that's only one variant, the iranian one. there are much more rules and game variants. so don't fuck with backgammon. for greeks is as holy as cricket for the british.

Yeah i actually do know how to play backgammon(grr look at me im a barbarian) It's a great game,much more relaxed than chess.Do you still have the rule over in greece that if you catch someone trying to cheat you get to chop their hands off?

cheating is actually part of the game. really good players (like me) have a secret method to control the dice. but cheating is useless if you play against a non greek foreigner. actually playing is useless too since amateurs have to count before moving which is extremely annoying. anyway when caught cheating you loose the game and you have to offer the drinks. many would prefer their hands cut off.
