Fazer Eyes. Nobody likes this song but me, but it has a killer guitar solo and awesome background vocals.

I would say Pray for the Girls. It's awesome and I have seen it bashed and looked down upon. Who cares if it's from the Powerpuff Girls CD. It's amazing and I would love to see it played live every now and then as well. I went hoarse yelling for it when I saw Frank solo.
If I am wrong and peope do like this song, then great.

I love all these songs!
You'd be hard pressed to find an FB song I don't like, though. Maybe Punk Rock City.
I can't think of anyone I know that doesn't like Western Star, though, BF...
If I had to put in a most underrated FB song, it'd probably be Skeleton Man. Why this song has drawn such ire I'll never understand, I loves it.

What about Constant Sorrow Man. What a wonderful song. It doesn't seem to generate any buzz. Also, Baby, That's Art. It's crazy great.

Fazer Eyes is one of my favourite songs on TOTY. The lyrics are also great, for example: "shores that were once by the sea/ Iīm seing something that is not there, itīs so fast itīs slow/ and itīs playing with my memory". Strange how people contantly put it in worst FB song lists.

Dog Gone? Tiny Heart? I Love Your Brain?
They are ALL great and all too underrated b/c Frank is not hella-famous.
Also, I am not a "fella" - hope it's okay that I am answering.

Man of Steel always seems to get panned - but it is an astounding track, wasted on the X-files soundtrack, and written off by every reviewer of the same...

Wait... I need some explanation. "Fellas" only applies to men, but "guys" works for both men and women. Am I right?

i love all the mans library some songs more than others at times... but moods change... people pan the music, but then if i remember critics panned the pixies too... so such as it is only aesthetics... and Man Of Steel is one the greatest... for what its worth.

For me 6-66 and Jaina Blues are perhaps the songs I hear the less...in fact I don't like them at all...Songs like Baby that's art, King and Queen of Siam (I love the intro), Cult Of Ray were or are less popular but sound good to me anyway.

Jaina Blues is AWESOME! Sounds so much like the Stones, Exile on Main St era. My 3rd fave track on SMYT.

I also consider Fazer Eyes as one of the best FB songs and truly cannot understand how people don't like this gem - so short and so beautiful, great lyrics, astonishing guitar solo, a perfect pop song - if you consider Frank's definition of pop. |

Heehee, I got it..
I love 'Don't Ya Rile Em' from the debut. In fact, I think I love the debut more consistently than any others. The tune 'The Cult Of Ray' would be another, that has got some awesome riffs and lyrics. "ARE YOU FEELIN' ROLE STRAIN??"

Valley of our hope and Announcement are very underated. Not even on any albums. At the end of the world is another!

Man of Steel...quite an ignored song. but so so powerful. Makes my chest ache sometimes (in a good way, not a heart-attack)
Cult of Ray, Fazer Eyes, Tiny Heart...definitely underrated
Valley of our hope and Announcement too basically, pretty much every single one that was brought up.
I think So Hard to Make Things Out gets a bad rap too...but its one of the best on Pistolero. i can think of more....but not right now. |

Tossed. I don't think it's ever been mentioned, but this song rocks so hard. Gotta love the horn-driven "chorus." |

Actually I do not see often mentioned any song from the CD The devils workshop. For example I like very much "The Scene", especially the starting chords are quite Rocky!, I like the whole song. You should turn up the volume with this song!! |

Yeah, Devil Workshop's is pretty much wholly underrated. Heloise, Wiskey in Your Shoes, Fields of Marigold are all excellent. Humboldt County Massacre (the B-side not the SSMVGD version) explodes with raw anger but not many people make something of it. And Dirty Old Town must be the most underrated song by FB himself since he hasn't even recorded it. I love it when he wispers the last lines. |
