I must've seen the man in 30 films (I could count from his filmography, but how much time do you people think I have on my hands?), yet never seen him in a lead role. Not that I can think of anyway. Sure, he's played some fairly large roles in films, like in True Romance, Higher Learning, Beautiful Girls, and Mighty Aphrodite but never have I seen him in a leading part. At least not that I can think of. Has he ever been the main character? He's almost always Michael Rapaport, but it works because it seems like people are writing Michael Rapaport characters in their films. Hollywood has created a spot for him to fall right into.

I'm on imdb.com ALL the time. But I wasn't about to go through each film of his. Like I said, how much time do you think I have on my hands? Now excuse me while I go search for posts on google's newsgroups about Ultra Vivid Scene's "Special One" sounding like Big Star's "September Gurls." Lets see how many people noticed that.

The Spike Lee movie he was in, (which I am completely blanking on the name of right now) he was one of many leads. Does that count? I love Beautiful Girls, a great underrated movie.

That was Bamboozled. Though he wasn't exactly a lead.

But he was the sole star in "Paper or Plastic"

No, that isn't the movie I am talking about. I think it might have been called Higher Learning - and he WAS a lead. He played a skinhead guy.

Higher Learning is actually a John Singleton film. He's also done Boyz N The Hood, Poetic Justice, Rosewood and Shaft. Maybe others, too. His films are quite similar to Spike Lee films in the issues they tackle. Higher Learning was entertaining when I was 15, but in retrospect, the film is way over-the-top and plays on too many stereotypes. Just like PCU, but Higher Learning takes these elements and tries to make a drama out of it. I should watch it again. Or should I?

He was a lead in Illtown, but that was terrible. And he was just on "Good Girls Don't" my favorite sitcom.
