I find that beach thing in paris a little weird...

I am thinking about spending a weekend there soon. need to get a way.

Cool Things:
BBQs on the beach
Watching Quadrophenia on the Beach
Cold apples
Water
The colour orange.

Just thought I'd throw that in there...

I used to live until my 25 by the sea, so I confess I thought it was stupid, but this year they did it well.
Of course, I won't lay there half naked a whole afternnon (I know too much what a real beach is, and I don't even like going to the beach anymore just to get tanned, kind of boring) but it's a nice place around 18:00.

River snorkling. Check it out sometime, with the right river it's like floating through an underwater zen garden.

Yes.
It's the craziest and funniest thing I've read for ages.
I surprised myself laughing alone in a restaurant while reading the story about a baby driving a plane and the guys at the control tower trying to learn to him the subjonctive before learning how to land. and the baby is only answering "apopo".
It needs concentration to be understood. After two stories you get the humour and then you can't stop.

We've got Back To The Future playing in Greenwich Park soon (thanks for reminding me Mel).
Anyone up for it?

I'm really tempted to come over to Paris now. When do they sweep up the beach?

Or maybe the week end after.
The issue is that they close an important road and when people will come back from holidays they would be big traffic jams.

I'll tell you what's cool about the summer. Music festivals. I love music festivals so much. They make the summer for me.

That and the imminent release of Alien Vs Predator.
