What happened to them?
I liked them.
They may have been from Canada, if I remember correctly.

I believe they were from San Francisco. Never really got into them much but they were pretty good. They helped out Jawbreaker a lot in the early days so they get a lot of points for that. I wish Jawbreaker was still around.

No... but I do have an old album by a band called Iam Siam. I recall liking it pretty well. I really need to get a turntable some day so that I can listen to this stuff again.
Then there was Samhain. What a treat they were. *CHUCKLE*

You don't like Samhain? Come on... "All Murder, All Guts, All Fun" that's good stuff.

Didn't they do the cover of Here Comes Your Man on the Pixies tribute?
Dean Ween, shortly before Brando died: "He's played Vito Corelone, Colonel Kurtz, and Stanley Kowalski all in one lifetime. What have you done?" |

Which Jawbreaker album had "Seethruskin" on it?

Yes, they did...I almost forgot about that.
Well, for people that aren't familiar with them, their second album (I believe) "Clumsy" was great. They were kind of like a good version of Green Day, for lack of a better comparison. Way better songs.

Billie Joe Armstrong produced some of their stuff. Maybe that had something to do with the Green Day sound.

Obfuscate Seathruskin is on Unfun. Great album and definately their most "punk" album.

Ah. Thanks.

I remember liking only a couple of tracks on that album. Seemed like 2:00 songs were being dragged out for 3 or 4 minutes.

In the 10th or 11th grade I traded it for Superchunk's "Incidental Music 91-95" comp.

The songs probably could be a little shorter, but there's still some reall good stuff on Unfun. "Want", "Busy", "Seethruskin", "Incomplete" and if you get the CD version with the Whack and Blite EP included I love "Eye 5"
