I was just curious about who owns the rights etc. to the Purple Tape.

Spinart seem to be distributing it now (and Sonic Unyon and presumably Cooking Vinyl), and wondered why not 4ad/Electra. Also, on Emusic.com, The Pixies themselves are credited as the label that the album is released under.

Perhaps one for Jo?

i'd assume 4ad own the rights to the songs that were released on COP but that the band own the rights for the songs not released on COP.

but jo will need to confirm or deny.
