Which Frank Black song would you find like some kind of self-portrait? Because I think we all think of him in very different ways!
So, I guess we would all choose a different song.
For me, at this moment, I would choose "The man who was too loud"...

I remember a post on the old Abstract Plain mailing list from one of FB's old college friends saying that "Pan American Highway" is essentially the story of Frank's life. So I'll go with that one.

"The Man Who Was Too Loud" is about Jonathan Richman, but I suppose there could be an element of Frank himself in it as well.

rita, it's on Sunday Sunny Mill Valley Groove Day. It's a Catholic's album that was never released. You should be able to find it online somewhere.

"Pan American Highway" was officially released. It's a b-side to the "Robert Onion" single.

Maybe it's easy to find on one of those file-sharing things. If you don't want to track down the single or wait for the proposed b-sides compilations to surface, that is.

Even though I'm quite happy now I think when will happiness find me again draws me best, I moved from the woods to L.A., ended up getting shredded (still love L.A.), Moved back to the woods. Found happiness. Hope Frank does too. Incidently, my moniker twist doesn't refer to a tornadically unexpected event that occurs once every 300 years, it's just where Black & Dickens intersect.
