I first heard the Pixies when I bought "Doolittle" on Valentines Day 1994, because I liked "Last Splash" and I read that Kim had been in this Pixies band before so I decided to try them out.

Loved it right away- was mad at myself for not finding them sooner.

Over the next couple months got "Pilgrim" and "Rosa", still didn't know what they looked like. In April or may I was reading details magazine and there was a review of "Teenager" and there was a picture of album cover- What a shock it was to see that big face. Not at all what I expected.

Over the summer I was lucky enough to find a few of those 12" promotional cards with the album cover for $1 each , and later a huge full size poster that showed the entire picture.

I hope someday they reissue all the old FB album like they did with Elvis Costello. TOTY would be perfect for this (it would have to be 3 discs though(.

Imagine one disc of all the B-sides and out-takes from that era:
Men in Black
At The End of The World
Oddballs
Hate Me
This Is Where I Belong
Amnesia
The Teenage Fanclub Peel Session
The Kitchen tapes w/ Joey
Jumping Beans
The Hello Recordings, including Duke of Earl

Then another disc of alternate versions of "Teenager" songs, like "Headache (NYC Version), there must be some acoustic or demo versions hidden away somewhere.

Imagine a big booklet with lyrics, extra pictures from that photo session, and liner notes written by FB, talking about the songs and the tour, ect.
I'd pay whatever they charged for it.

Wow you damn right. What a collection that would make. I got the Nirvana box set as a present for crimbo, cool-ish, sorta past that now, but interesting none the less.

One of TOTY like you said would be the ultimate gift an FB fan could ever receive (i.m.o)

I'm getting excited just by the thought. We can wish, hey. Why not. It's New Years Eve.
