So does anyone from Seattle know if the festival headliner bands sell their merchandise at their performance? You know, since it is not a 'traditional' concert setup.

I believe headliners usually do sell their merchandise there. Not the smaller bands, not officially at least, but the headliners do. |

Yeah I got a Funkadelic t-shirt when George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars were at Bumbershoot several years back...

Yeah... they usually have a booth set up in the very back corner of memorial field (it's a football field). Typically they specialize in bumbershoot only merchandise (posters, t-shirts, etc). And like pb said above, though i've never purchased anything, i seem to remember seeing merchandise available for the bigger acts, though I'm not 100% positive. If that band's scheduled appearance is one of multiple stops on a summer long tour, they're playing the main stage, and packing boxes of merchandise, I can only assume it'll be up for sale. Some artists make the trip to seattle specifically for the occasion of bumbershoot and the appearance isn't just 1 of 45 shows scheduled that summer, so chances of them selling merchandise i'd say were slim.....
