So, The program about this is on now.
Basically these guys decided to make a UFO and fly it over the stone circle in Wiltshire (this place where loads of hippys go etc etc).
It is an attempt to reenact the Roswell incident.
Ive always found this sort of thing quite fascinating, and cant wait to see what the response to this has all been...whether people believed it was real.
As travolta says in Swordfish, what the eyes see, and the ears here, the mind believes.
Any one else seen this program? or the roswell one? Who believes in UFO, has anyone had an 'encounter'of this sort...

I had an encounter, when I was 14 years old.
It was the summer of 1994. Pulp Fiction won the Palm that year. Nancy Kerrigan was clubbed on the right leg by an assailant under orders from figure skating rival Tonya Harding. Lorena Bobbitt was found not-guilty by reason of temporary insanity for severing the penis of her husband John. The planet Jupiter was pelted by 21 large fragments of Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 over the course of 6 days.
I was living in in the South-West of France, 100 km west from Toulouse, in a region called le Gers, which is famous for its foie gras, in an isolated, very old house about 30km from a small town called Auch. I was bored to death at that time, because I was back from holidays and waiting for school to start, with absolutely nothing to do and all my friends still away on holidays. The weather gets very hot in the region in the summer, and the nights can be very nice - we used to have dinner outside, in the garden. The problem was that I was so bored I couldn't get any sleep so one night, after the dinner, I decided to go for a walk to a small lake nearby. There was a full moon, and the night was very clear and bright.
While I was walking through the forrest, on my way to the lake, I was thinking about the meaning of the life, the potential Pixies reunion, the quantic theory, in that order. Suddenly, I heard a buzz, a very strange noise, low and high at the same time, which I cannot describe as I've never heard anything similar to that. I stopped. Progressively, the noise disappeared, but I must admit I was a little scared, so I decided to go back. As I turned, I saw a little grey man just behind me, and he made this strange noise, like laughing, although he didn't have a mouth. Then I saw a very strong light, and it felt like I was going blind. After that, I don't remember anything.
I woke up unconscious on the ground. It took me a while to gather all the forces and run as quickly as possible to home. When I came back home, my Mom told me "you're not going for a walk, finally?" I looked at my watch, and it was 8.45 pm. When I left, it was about the same time.
It's the first time I'm telling this story to someone. Well, to a real person, what I say to my psychiatrist doesn't count, right? And I will probably never know what these aliens wanted, or did to me. All I know is that my ass was hurting for a week after that.
And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not there. |

i saw this programme first time around (heh), and fantastic idea. seemed a lot of effort just to pull off a hoax, but yeah, i thought it was great. so funny! them chasing their 'ufo' down country roads, avoiding angry bull's, just to get the thing back...
I am my only god, ha ha ha ha ha ha |
