random fragments ... they played head on and blown away ... charles sung the verses of river euphrates in the wrong order ... kim (almost) collapsed in giggles doing the backing vocals to velouria ... joey did his best vamos solo yet ... david's drumming was as exemplary as ever (I know nothing about drumming, but surely dave is among the best) ... the encore went on forever ... woo!

What a kick ass night! That really was the best version i have ever heard of Vamos, Joey is such a star. 'Something against you' was also messed up but who cares. It was also great to hear Blown away. The energy tonight was amazing,Frank really went for it on those screams!I think they are even better now then when i saw them in '90+'91 and i never thought that would be possible.

London will be a poorer place without them. To my horror, did I actually see a flyer advertising a gig with the Pixies supporting the f**king Stereophonics!?!?! WTF!?!?! Has the world gone mad?? I say send a lynch mob to have words with the promoter and those welsh fools.

They opened with Head On and it was awesome, other highlights for me were Dead and Vamos. What a great night, still can't believe I saw the pixies. Just waiting for the netburn to become available now!

I hope the people I sold tickets to from here had a great time too.

sorely tempted to get the friday netburn as well... already got the Friday one and it is just about the best sounding pixies boot I have heard. clear, tight, loud, punchy, generally f**king awesome. Having seen the Pixies a couple of times way back when - have to admit - i thought this would be a pure nostalgia thing... but jesus h christ, they were equally as good as the time I saw them in 88 or 89. Seeing/hearing is believing. Anyone wanna trade me a an MP3 of Head On from Saturday night. :-)

Yeah the Vamos encore was pure brilliance. So good to see them all giggling away. Saint Santigo
I loved it all, but Caribou, Somthing Against You, I Bleed, Nimrods Son..oh all of it.

But I wanted More!!!Why didi it have to end. Would have loved some trompe le monde too.

setlist.. I can't remember (wont get the download until tomorrow) but it started with 'Head On' then more fast ones. 'U-Mass' was fourth in this time, I think... ermmmm Gigantic.... In Heaven sung by Kim this time!! no 'into the white' ermmmm

one encore, five songs... Joey missed the drumstick in Vamos, as did Dave when Joey threw it back, ermm

I should just download it on my crappy dialup connection...

Not in order (that's not how my weird memory works) but this is everything:

Caribou
Isla de Encanta
Holiday Song
Broken Face
Something Against You
Gigantic
River Eupharates
Where Is My Mind
Cactus
Vamos
Debaser
Tame
Wave Of Mutilation (Album)
I Bleed
Here Comes Your Man
Dead
Monkey Gone To Heaven
Mr Grieves
Crackity Jones
Number 13 Baby
Hey
Gouge Away
Velouria
Blown Away
Head On
U-Mass
In Heaven/Wave Of Mutilation (UK Surf)

I went to Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and I think Friday was marginally the best. But last night, god, the sheer ferocity of it. The main set was 22 songs in 53 minutes, absolutely frantic. No setlist again? It sure looked like it (I've never spotted the signal from FB for Monkey before). And what exactly is the Santiago/Lovering batting average for drumstick catching? They both dropped it last night ;-)

I think the book had been re-written on the supposed "Cash In" reunion; after this, will anyone be allowed to come back and be anything less than "as good as if not better than ever"?

Head On - best opener ever! Went on Friday too but I enjoyed this one more because there was less anticipation etc and I just got to dance about and enjoy it to the max....

Jo - also found myself at the aftershow with my gf - we probably walked past each other a bit!

hurrah! I was wandering around with my red Homestarr Runner t-shirt (red with big white star) being all fan-struck and trying to steal a pen (some other bloke found one, and we went looking for FB, who had left, sadly..)

my husband asked me on the way home "why did you feel you had to get their autograph" and I had no idea at all....! I just did!

Bloody Hell! Was that you that went bounding past the benches the two of us were sitting on (next to the x-box machines) to talk to Dave??? I was a very sweaty chap with red hair, a green FB TOTY tour shirt and my new Pixies bag (yep - total fanboy, but I have to admit I didn't expect to end up back there afterwards!).

What about Badly drawn boy playing support ?? Who was the support on Friday ? The only other band I've seen play for 50mins solid was the JAMC, and starting with Head On was amazing. What happened to playing the songs in alphabetical order ?

When did you see the mary chain?

and the support on Friday was Graham Coxon, fairly decent for a support.

graham coxon was so-so, I thought, but I really enjoyed badly drawn boy last night (particularly his barbed jibe at coldplay) ... he played mostly solo acoustic/piano, though he had a flute player for some songs and his tour manager played keys on a couple (and came on to do a one-finger solo, to resounding applause, at one point)

I saw JAMC on the Automatic tour too ... sorry to buck the trend, but I always found the pixies cover kinda pointless, but I have to admit it sounded great last night

all four nights were astounding and each had it's own special moments ... for me, thursday's was the best, closely followed by friday's, but I would have been delighted by any one of them

BDB was pretty good. The last time i saw him at Brixton he was pretty poor but i turned up early to see him anyway.

Head on was just fantastic as was Blown away. I was so amazing it feels abit petty to gripe but i would have loved to hear more Bossanova and TLM.

I saw them every night bar Thursday and they were excellent every time. I am gutted that i missed Is she weird and La La Love You.

Fantastic night last night! I am no longer a Pixies virgin!
Thanks to Dale for selling me a last minute ticket at cost price.

Of course you could go on about them not doing this or that song but I only wanted Velouria and I got it so I was very, very happy. Oh and Gigantic. No Into The White but they can't play them all can they? Roll on V.

Luckily I am also a big BDB fan so I was pleased to see him supporting and he knew well enough that no one was there to see him.

Looking forward to getting the Disclive in the post. I'd download it but not on the old 56k modem!

I was in the Canterbury Arms before the gig and Badly Drawn Boy and his entourage came in around 6:30pm and they were still in there until about 7:30pm. I thought they were cutting it a bit short myself. Yan and Noble from British Sea Power were in there as well! I think I will use that pub again for pre gig drinks at Brixton in the future you never know who you might see.

I went right down the front this time about 3rd or 4th row beteen Frank and Joey. It was such a crush I had to go straight home after the show as I was wringing wet with sweat. It was a great series of gigs, I hope they do a DVD.

God, its hard to compare three nights in a row.

Thursday I went on my own after handing over £100 for a ticket - thought they were amazing!

Friday I went with my mate also a FB/Pixies nut -
thought they were incredible!

Last night went with my wife - thought they were stupendous! (we watched this one in the circle. Actually a lot better than I expected)

Last nights highlights for me were Here comes your man, Monkey gone to Heaven and Caribou. And Tame was unreal - I remember there was a strobing wavefrom thingy projected behind them during the screaming -it was really cool.

Feeling really down today because its over even though I know I am lucky to see them more than once. Am going to try a go to V for a day.

My overriding impression over the last three days is there seems to be nobody out there even remotely close to them (and I saw Radiohead at Glasto last year!)

was just an aside ... he said something like "this is a song from 'The Hour Of Bewilderbeast', the album that beat coldplay to the mercury award ..."

hi, i'm new, *waves*

wow... that's all I can say, Pixies have been my favourite band since I was a fan of music and I never imagined it would be that good. Couldn't have asked for a better last song than Vamos, i know i won't be able to stop singing it for at least a month.

I think it was all summed up for me when i was wandering around in a daze looking for my friend, two guys see the massive grin i couldn't get off my face and say, "we know"

I was there too, the Pixies were approximately a million times better on Thursday.

amazing night! me and my mate ian just looked at each other in pure shock, amazement and wonder! we were ready to get on our hands and knees and shout "we're not worthy, we're not worthy" during the Joey god-like show during Vamos! Amazing! I've never seen anything better in my whole life! Amazing! Only complaints are no bone machine or nimrod's... but hey! i'm sure i'll catch them when i see them at V or T...

I don't give out expletives lightly, but Saturday was just fucking amazing! The rest of my life is going to be an anti-climax.
I've never come out of a gig so hot and dripping with sweat, having danced/moshed through the whole gig near the front. Didn't know I could still do it at my age.
Most of the highlights have already been mentioned, but I've just got to say how much I enjoyed Kim singing In Heaven and seeing Frank laughing and smiling through Joey's Vamos solo, as was Kim. But I think it's the first time I've actually seen Frank laugh on stage - he always seems so serious.

ooh, I'm not sure... I chatted to Dave and asked him if he had a pen, cause I wanted my ticket signing, someone magicked up a pen, so he did, then I asked the people at the benches if they still had that pen, cause I thought I'd try get FB, cause I didn't care about being cool and not asking for autographs :)

one of my friends said there was some woman storming around saying how FB shook her hand, and while I know that wasn't me, it did make me wonder how anyone could actually hear anything, the music they had on in the bar was so loud!!

I agree with you all. Amazing evening. Well worth the long drive down from my part of the world and getting lost in London about 10 times. Got home at 2.30 a.m. in the end.

Many thanks to Bill (Scarla 0) for holding on to a ticket for me.

I want to see them again!!!

v. important question. On Saturday night, a large horn shaped thing appeared attached to Dave's drumkit. What was it for?

I meant to ask this before now... we all just remembered here. I don't remember it being used either... unless I missed something.. it wasn't there the other nights (according to Steve here who went on all four nights)
