Actually, it's funny you quote that part, "spot a little stallion" cuz I could never understand what he was saying there. I'm sure I've read the lyrics before but I forgot, so I just always, "yes I too can sputter with the stallion" or something like that. Never was sure.

I was just reading the Throwing Muses board and all it took was a mention of Pearl and it was immediately in my head. Kristin's fuzzed-out guitar, then David Narcizo takes the lead with his fantastically crisp drumming, alternating between the snare and the toms in an ever-so-cool way, ending with a cymbal crash, and Kristin comes back in on vocals... a masterpiece.

I was just thinking last night it's about time I listen to my Throwing Muses tapes again.
Currently playing in my head:
"Road to Nowhere" - Talking Heads and "Language is a Virus" - Laurie Anderson
I dunno, but somehow they fit quite nicely together.

currently stuck in my head right now:
float on - modest mouse soldier boy - polyphonic spree fortunately gone - breeders
this last one is kind of embarrassing:
elephant love song medley - nicole kidman and ewan mcgregor
i saw the movie moulin rouge for the first time last week and was really surprised by the singing quality of nicole and ewan. my friend had told me this was the worst movie he ever saw, but i quite enjoyed it. i kind of feel like costanza did when he had "master of the house" stuck in his head after he saw les miserables.

Its alright, I always get embarassing songs stuck in my head. Like this one, for example,
Una paloma blanca, I'm just a bird in the sky. Una paloma blanca, Over the mountains I fly. No one can take my freedom away.

Of what? Soldier Girl? I guess I am missing something here 'cos there has been no previous version.
She said "I'm a virgin" I said "Which version"? |

big misunderstanding. i'm not embarrassed by the breeders song. i was referring to the moulin rouge tune sung by nicole kidman and ewan mcgregor. that whole cd is actually not bad. the like a virgin tune is pretty funny.

I like that little intro to Soldier Girl. Good catchy song overall. Though it doesn't go very far beyond that one part over and over.
The Breeders song that I used to always get stuck in my head was Invisible Man, it's like a warm summer with a slight breeze. mainly that part where the strings come in. "That's all that's left behind... the sky..." One of their finest songs in my opinion.

That's that stuck in my head for the day. Better than the Copa Cobana anyway.
The intro to Debaser has been playing on and off in my head all week.
Just coz I'm new doesn't mean I'm just here for the Pixies updates. |

Winterlong, for no apparent reason. Must've been the last Pixies song I heard.

I know. Just the bloody mention of the datsuns did it. Damn them and their catchy pop tunes. That and the influence of far too much coffee today is resulting in me stomping round my flat singing it with my T shirt on my head ala Beavis stylee....

I just watched a Beavis And Butthead on MTV2. I have managed to catch it a few times lately. It had been a while. Funny stuff. I love it when Beavis does that with his t-shirt. The Great Cornholio indeed!

I wish I could afford proper TV sometimes. I have to make do with my own re-enactments.
"are you threaghtening me?? bu-u-u-u-u-u-unghole - heh hyehyehyehyehye"
can't get into anything these days. Always on the peripheral. Always terrified, exhausted, annoyed, pissed, anxious, out of it-out of the loop, out of my mind, out of time.

I am at my mate's flat in the City centre so they CAN afford it. I on the other hand cannot. Well I could but it's a bloody rip-off.
I now have I Fought The Law by The Clash in my head 'cos it's just been on MTV2. Great song though so I don't mind.

The singles - She's got a hold
Really can't get this one out of my head. It seems it's a Rubber Soul lost song.
