Why he might be annoying(?)
1 He has a weird singing (screaming) voice. That's what i like about it, his voice doesn't sound like anything else i know
2 He developed that singing style after a friend told him to scream the Beatles' song 'Oh Darling' 'like you hate that bitch!' Legends about a person make him annoying?
3 He did drugs and smoked. Me too and moreover i don't care about his habits
4 He dropped out of college to start the Pixies.That's more cool than annoying. We are full of mediocre engineers but you can't have enough good music groups
5 He had issues with bassist Kim Deal, which led to the band's demise. So what? It was his band, and he decided how to end it
6 He announced during a radio interview that the Pixies broke up, without consulting with the other band members (he faxed them later that day). I can't believe that
7 He inverted his stage name from Black Francis to Frank Black, to make it sound like a real name, yet it wasn't his real name. So?
8 His solo career hasn't been as successful as Deal's. Yeah,it was better
 join the cult of errol\and you can have a beer\without having to quit smoking

A lot of the reasons why a person might be annoying (and why they might not, for that matter) that show up on that website are really dumb. This Frank one is pretty much typical of the site. Fortunately, most people think Frank is NOT annoying.

I only can listen in my car when I´m alone! Nobody can stand FRANK´s music anymore!I did that to people!
My 5 year old kid talks about him as she knows him, like he is some friend of us!

Damn, Frank Black annoying? They actually have poles on this schtick? Thank Ford I've got people to ride with me in my car who like Frankie. I've actually converted several people to his music. Rock on! His voice and style may be an acquired taste, but that's like an acquired taste of a mighty good beer. To all those who let themselves be annoyed by Frank, THAT'S THE JAINA BLUUUUUUES!

Why he might not be annoying
He is one of the most influential rock singers of the late 80's, and he helped pave the way for the early 90's grunge movement.
He incorporated surf-rock into his music.
His song 'Where is My Mind?' is featured in the closing segment of the movie 'Fight Club.'
He releases his albums rather frequently.
The main character in the TV series 'Millennium' was named after him.
He, along with the rest of the Pixies, set aside their differences when they went on a reunion tour (2004).
Half these don't even make sense as a response to why he might not be annoying. I mean, if someone asked me: "Why would Frank Black not be annoying?" Would my response be: "Oh, it has to be because he incorporated surf-rock into his music." That doesn't make sense.

[ i was dying of dehydration in that small place]
He stopped said 'all mine' and then guzzled an entire bottle of volvic

I could see how people would think he was annoying if he like...picked boogers and flicked them at others or...scratched his ass and sniffed his fingers in public but NOT because he dropped out of college to start a band. That just doesn't make sense.
