I keep feeling like people are just looking at screens and web sites all the time, but do they ever do anything? Or go out and say anything to anyone? I'm not so sure anymore.

What time is it in France, Adnan?

Do dyslexic-insomniac-agnostics stay up all night wondering if there really is a dog?

I am leaving work now to go play hockey and drink beer afterwards.
I suspect tomorrow the board will be inundated with many new topics, have fun!

Be sure to tell the story of your very strange day/evening/night.

day : talking to a 90 year old french war veteran on a train who explained me how he and his buddies went to the brothel when he was 24 like me(some of them got the syphilis, which is a pretty shitty especially if you're married). otherwise reading salinger and melville.

evening : drinking guiness

night : talking to a girl from venezuela that lives in sweden and looks like she's swedish (there must be a mistake somewhere, we were even speaking in swedish) about Jacques Cousteau and Costarican underwear.

Adnan, that's a very cool day/evening/night you have there. I suggest you start writing with fervor. You have the seeing-knack (I dunno what that is, so don't worry about adding it to your English lexicon -do you have a vade mecum?) :)

Glad to see you back.

I've often wondered, Adnan...do you think Jacques Cousteau was also an intelligence agent? Julia Child was, you know.

I loved Jacques Cousteau.

...oh, nevermind, I just answered my own question. He was a spy. huh. waddya know?

"In 1933 he joined the French Navy and this is where his explorations into underwater diving equipment. Cousteau served as a spy in World War 2 and received numerous medals for his actions. During this time also, he married Simone Melchoir (1937) and they had two children, Jean-Michel and Phillip. Even during this very hectic time in his life, he continued in his underwater inventions and in 1943 had perfected the aqualung, which is still used by divers today. This invention was very useful to the Navy as divers where [sic] required to dive deep under water to detach mines from ships and structures."

I just wonder for which country Jacques Cousteau was a spy during the WW2.
