Got an odd question, bit I figure someone would know this. In the one part of the on the road doc, Charles/Black Francis/ Frank Black is making up the play list for the show in Chicago with joey santiago and is rocking out to some song and then starts to act like he’s shooting up. I about pissed myself, its hilarious. Anyway, what song is that? Sounds like Black Flag. |

I think someone stated in a previous thread, either the "Pixies DVD U.S. release" or "DVD Reviews", that the song was by the Misfits (Glen Danzig's first band).

I thought it was DANZIG from his first solo album, but then again I am proven wrong all the time, but I didn't recognize it from the Misfits I own.

It's a good song. I wondered this same question when I saw it for the first time.

Its Danzig - "Twist of Cain" I think.
The first Danzig album was on full rotation back in the day around my 'group' along with Jane's Addiction, Ministry, Nirvana, ChiliPeppers, etc.
Early 90's, man.

It's definitely Danzig's 'Twist Of Cain', as KimStanleyRobinson says. Actually, a clip of that scene appears in 'Gouge', but I don't think you can really hear the song in the background. |
