Finished or still reading? I'll just answer both. heeee
I'm currently reading "The Puzzle Palace: A Report on America's Most Secret Agency"
by James Bamford, about the National Security Agency, and international intelligence. Bedtime reading = guaranteed nightmares!

Recently finished "Dress your Family in Corduroy and Denim" by David Sedaris. I laughed til I cried. I tell you what, that guy tells a story like nobody's business.

This question's gonna seem kinda kooky, but 's'alright: Do you ever have/have you ever had hallucinations, or seen or heard something that you couldn't explain?

Don´t know, though sometimes during a stressful experience I do get tremors of worry, I´m not subject to those grandiose sphinctral fits. Fear can only enter one who´s convinced they´re separated from the whole.

Book all your friends foamed at the mouth over but you couldn´t finish?

Do you mean:

The last book I finished was, I believe, The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks, though I could be wrong. I was reading Even Cowgirls Get the Blues by Tom Robbins a little while back, but I never finished it. I need to get back to that.

Odd Thomas-Dean Koontz

I never liked Dean Koontz but the idea was pretty cool...and the book is not bad either.

Definitely a bird. As a human, I know what it's like to swim, even if I can only be underwater for so long before having to come up for air (unless of course I have scuba equipment). I've always wondered what it would be like to have the freedom to fly whenever I wanted without the assistance of a flying contraption. I have many dreams where I defy gravity quite a bit, though not many where I truly fly. More like I can hover and bounce around a lot more than gravity permits.

What's the longest it's taken you to come up with a question for this?

Reiner Wolfcastle comes to mind as a lesser character who I get a big kick out of, especially because he delivered the line, "My eyes! The goggles do nothing!" But with a show like the Simpsons, it's difficult to say. So many great characters. Comic Book Guy, Apu ("for no reason here's Apu" might top the goggles line, but I'm not sure), Milhouse, Lenny, Flanders...

What is your favorite dumb 80's show?

Q: when to go to the record store, do you go through all the shelves alphabetically, or write down a wish list and look for the albums, or pick records at random?

i think working in some really boring retail store, like the futon store on rt. 17 by my house, or a light fixture store - not only do you probably get very few daily customers, but "shop talk" has to be SO boring. i think i'd really go crazy

I have a fairly vivid memory of looking in the mirror around the age of 7 or 8 and suddenly thinking, "Holy moly, that's me! That's what people see when they see me; whatever I do creates an impression on people about that person in the mirror. That's really weird."

I didn't let that stop me from being a complete dork, of course.

When was the last time you burned something in the toaster and what was it?

I try to follow the list I write...but then I end up completely forgetting about the damn list and I just run around the store gabbling up all the cd's I want and yelling random swears...I end up with a pile of 14 or so...then go through them and pick 6 or 7...I spend WAY too much money on music...It's better than a crack habit I suppose.. too bad I'm addicted to crack too.

What's the nicest thing anyone ever did for you?

a Bagel about 6 weeks ago

I don't know but thats a good question

the nicest thing anyone ever did was when I got formaldehyde in my eyes at work, the guy I was seeing was really worried and my phone was dead, I had to go to the eye hospital to get sorted and when I got home he made me carrot and lentil soup, carbonara and angel delight with magic stars in a smily face in it

who do you hate?

I can honestly say that right now, I can't think of anyone I hate. Personally that is.

Does highschool have a big impact on your future career? I mean, will students who excell academically in highschool be accepted into good colleges or universities that will allow them to go into any profession they choose? Or is it all luck and fate really, and highschool doesn't mean squat?

yeah it happens, I was a pretty odd kid by the standard of kids in my school, not knowing any different I carried on with odd untill I became self conscious of it and miserable, I tried to do "normal" and was miserable and pretending to be someone else, so did a big fuck it and am just Tre now, don't change for anyone, it's taken too long to accept and be who I am)))

Highschool counts for shit, it's all groping in the dark, Keep your head down and swim through it I say.

[edit] my experience was odd, I got into a really good college because I was a girl doing all science/maths, I still had to get a certain grade (B's) but it wasn't the A's I'd had to have gotten, bumming out at highschool does limit your opportunities, but all is not necesarily lost, I had a major breakdown at college and just came out with four A levels at a bare pass rate, I worked for a year and the guy I was seeing (Angel delight guy) convinced me to try for uni through clearing, I got into a 24 point course at a good uni with 8 points through charm alone (believe it or not) then when I got to uni converted to a 28 point course (biology --> biomolecular) and now I'm off to do an MSc with plans for a PhD afterwards, so in my case it's 70% fate 20% hard work and 10% charm ()

what is your fondest memory?

High School is just a big social gathering, a place to drop by when you were sick of the stoners you hung out with, a large ugly building with a couple drunken adults lurking around and telling you to staighten up your appearance...at least that was when I was in school.

Deeply in love or fleeting? Probably Franz Ferdinand, or Morrissey. I also really like the new Tanya Donelly.

What is the record you are playing the most these days?

I don't go often to concerts, so I only choose the ones I'm almost certain to like. I'd say the worst was the Geraldine Fibbers in Montreal, Sept. 97. The sound was ugly, the opening band sucked and Carla Bozulich wasn't pleased at all with the gig. Fortunately they came back 2 months later in a much better venue and it was awesome.

When alone at home, would you rather open a book or turn on the TV?
