It really depends on the argument, but if I understand your question properly, then no. I don't feel the need to "win".
The 10 minute thing, Carolyn -I don't think that's always a ploy for attention. I think it can also mean you are a parent, or you are very stressed (certainly not mutually exclusive! ;)), or that maybe wherever it is you are going, you are not completely sure you want to be there.
Do you have a pet? What kind(s)? Name(s)? Age, any other details, behaviors/personality traits? Do you try to communicate more than the general "commands"?

Sorry for not answering your question apl but I do not have a pet so I am leaving it to someone who has, as I think this would be more interesting for you. Maybe that's why nobody else is answering. Maybe they have no pets either.

(Sea monkeys, they do I saw it! My ex had some I tried to kill a few off by shaking the thing they lived in because they are so dirty, he saved them with his barclay card all of you animal rights people, no sea monkeys were actually harmed in the making of this rant)

I have a dog. Actually, my wife does. I don't like it very much. Its name is Mr. Dog, but I call it Jar Jar. Also we call it Hoover when we drop food on the floor. "Hoover!" Floor gets cleaned right up. It's half German shepherd and half husky. It is sneaky and not trustworthy; gets into the garbage and things like that. Maybe I should call it Gollum. But I get exercise by walking it.
How much exercise do you get? |

Quite a lot. I play quite a lot of football ('cos I am very good). I also walk a lot. And dance like a maniac once a week. Simon and Mel can confirm this. By the way, that dog sounds lovely. My two favourite breeds.

I can't drive, but as a passenger, I really like the long twisty country lanes. Unless I have to be somewhere. Then it is straight motorways. I too though, have a pet. A dog named Nikki. Not my choice for a name, she came that way. My parents and I adopted her from an animal shelter because she looked so pathetic. She was abused in her previous home, so we took her in. She is about as docile as they come, but she likes to rock out. Whenever I put on music she runs around the room, barking and hopping like a maniac.
New Question: What movie to watch tonight, Dr. Strangelove, or North by North West?
I lift weights, but I don't sweat. I go for a swim, but I don't get wet. |

I wanted to answer apls, cos i didnt get answered for agesm and i feel sorry for it, even tho its been answered twice.
I have a dog and 2 cats. My dog is called twiggy..cos shes skinny. Shes a collie whippet cross. Shes really docile and was also abused in ehr last home. Shes very very soppy, and very obedient (unless shes in season...then shes just a little cow). I think she thinks she is a human, and tries to sit with us...she wont play with other dogs (except one she knows really well).
My cats are called Billy and Suki. Billy is a HUGE furry gingercat. Hes lovely. and so so soft. when we first got him, we actually thought he was a she! he was so furry, you coudnt see anythign down there. And so its lucky i called him/her billy! When we found them, we just cut them off.
Hes always in fights, and costs us a fortune in pet bills. He almost was going blind, but fortunately we got it before it was to late (ulcer in the eye or somethign).
Suki is beautiful. Shes a silver tabby (theres a posher name, but basically, a silver tabby). shes very tempermental. She want before she ahd kittens, but then she had them, and they went to various homes, they actually all dead now. I think she know, cos she got really grumpy...DO you think they could know? maybe.
How many different people have you slept with in one week?
