How rude! You've obviously never experienced the joy of Sunday roast beef, or fish and chips at the seaside, or the Full English Breakfast.

Sell Portuguese food to me.

Sorry Simon, didn't meant to be rude...anyway, we have a long gastronomic tradition here.

Am I forgiven?

Not really, you haven't explained why Portuguese food is good. British food is full of subtlety and flavour, and the best meat dishes in the world. What's so great about yours?

(Floop, none taken, but I'm English and I prefer British food to Mexican, just as you live next door to Mexico and prefer Mexican food to British. It was favourite, not best, if you recall)

Well, we use a lot of aromatic herbs, pure olive oil, like all mediterranean food does. But, it's very difficult for me to describe you it all in english.

Do you want me to explain it to you in portuguese?

That wouldn't be a lot of help, but I appreciate the offer.

I've seen a couple of Portuguese restaurants in London: what would be a good thing to order if I went in?

Oh Simon, so many dishes, do they have the orders in portuguese?
Because if they do you must try 'cozido à portuguesa', that's a mix of several different meats, with potatoes and vegetables, all boiled together, and it's very good. Another very portuguese dish is salted codfish, we have one thousand of ways to cook it, but the best is on the oven with potatoes or smashed potatoes, or grilled...there are so many good ones!
Then the deserts, I loose my mind with it, because we have a lot too.

Did I answered your question?

Is it wrong to be satisfied that floop has been shot down in several different threads this evening?

I don't think I've ever had a Portuguese or a Brazilian dish.

What are some kinds of food they eat there? Aside from meat on a sword, that is.

Black beans, a lot of grilled fish, shrimp with cocconut milk. A lot of tropical fruits, 5 different kind of bannanas and to drink, caipirinha!
there are some more, but I wouldn't be able to explain it. And the meat on the sword is very good indeed!

Maybe they just haven't had a chance to compare all that many different versions.

Do you prefer it when Frank or Kim sings "In Heaven"?

I think one question at a time is easiest.
Going with "weirdest thing you've ever eaten:"

Fried alligator.
