My father dying the day before him and my mom moved to a new house, meant that there was a funeral to arrange plus a entire household to move on top of all that. Plus my husband was bitten by a dog and needed 40 stitches.
On that cheery note -
What was the most fun thing you ever experienced?

Hard to choose the most funniest thing, so I'll just pick a silly one: watching a friend of mine miming a pressure-cooker the other day. I nearly peed my pants.
Have you ever had a truly perfect day? When absolutely nothing went wrong or annoyed you or whatever?

Ouch! FYI I almost never go to clubs (although I'd love to. I'm just too old and/or lazy) and I don't do drugs. And I LOVE techno music. K, I can send you the techno mix I did for the CD swap if you want.

Curiously good so far - that's probably 'cos I don't have my press rotations for the week and suspect it'll be shitty once I get those. But I've got the doors to the balcony open and it's sunnyish, so it can't all be bad. And there's the prospect of being stupid tonight.
When/what was the last time you experience great physical pain?

Nope - interesting fact, the BNP want to make it compulsory for anyone that has been in the services to own an assault rifle. "To shoot burglars, if you want."
How do you vote? Are you a pre-made-up, or do you vote depending on the issues/candidates?

Pre-made-up usually. Issues are all just made up bullshit in my opinion. Quite scarey isn't it? Ex national service people are usually in my experience the last people I'd want to be given assualt rifles.
What are your views on hunting?

To not grant asylum to those who need it would be inhumane, and to look down on those who are in this country for asylum purposes is an act of ignorance, I doubt given the choice anyone would move to a country where there is such hostility, where the language is unfamiliar where they would have to leave behind friends, family and jobs they have worked hard to get unless their life depended on it. Without immigration this country would go to shit pretty fast, a multicultural society benefits everyone from an educational and a lifestyle viewpoint. A prime example being we have a shortage of nurses and doctors and without the influx of thai and vietnamese nurses (and there's many) and largely Indian doctors we'd be up the preverbial creek. Those people who tout the attitude that immigrants are "out for what they can get/ benefits claiming" people need to head off to the nearest crack head estate to see what the native chavs are up to. Thems thats guilty shouldn't be throwing stones.
what abouts them fossil fuels eh?

Good answer tre, I agree entirely. Fossil fuels, it seems fairly obvious that a move to sustainable and renewable fuels is totally neccessary, there's not really two ways about it. IMHO.

It seems steep but I do agree with tiered taxation. At higher rate income the salary increments are phenomenal you'll rarely find someone at £100k p/a it leaps from £70/80k to the £200, £300, £400K and these people are such a small percentage usually company directors who get massive bonuses so in principle I agree only because I think a salary that high for a job is ridiculous. Well either that or these rich people should buy me presents.
Woudl you feel aggrieved if your household income was >£40k p/a and you were £50p/a down to keep some little old lady in her house warm in the winter months? (can you tell who I am voting for??)
Icecream, I think it works roughly at just under $180k p/a

Kathryn, I believe the pending question is "Would you feel aggrieved if your household income was >£40k p/a and you were £50p/a down to keep some little old lady in her house warm in the winter months?"
To which my answer is yes, I don't even need to do the conversion.

Listening to a bunch of women bitch about how they can't do anything worthwhile with their MBAs and Ph.D.s now that they have children. In protest this morning I took a half-hour bath with three Barbie dolls and one child.

Last night I dreamt that several forum members and I lived in a big shared house, there was one communal living room with sofas all the way round the left hand side and the back wall of the room and a large chunky wooden table with benches on the right hand side for meal times, the room had dark stained wooden floors with moroccon rugs tossed about the place, the walls were deep crimson the woodwork was off white and there was a huge georgian window on the left wall, there were sprawly green plants in strange high glazed pots dotted around the place, the room was high ceilinged with a dusty chandelier in the middle of this big room.
In my dream I had broken my leg it was in plaster all the way up and I was housebound. There was a festival that everyone who lived in my house was going to, and you decided bcause I couldn't go you would all bring me something back from the festival representing a band you had seen.
Dayanara went to see oasis at the festival and recorded 'live forever' to play back to me, Rita bought me photo's of the Nick Cave set, Kathryn bought me a 'country shirt' catholics style, Surfer bought me a lock of hair from Serj Tankien, Other gifts I remember were Newo got (the very dead) Buckley to write a rhyming couplet on the back of a flyer, Denis bought me a mini-megaphone (I can't remember who from), Cheeso stole Frank Blacks flannel striped pyjamas from the guy who was making them (they still had the sizing pins in), whore bought me a pot of turquoise glitter from michael stipe there were more weird and wonderful gifts, a harmonica from the arcade fire, a blue enamel treble clef brooch..
so one by one you all came back from the festival to tell me about it and we are all sat round on the sofas and the benches (me in a wheelchair because of the plaster) one forum member went directly to bed though and we were joking around about this and all hushed to see if we could hear them snore and as soon as we went quiet they came out with a very funny very dry remark from their room (i think it was mocking me for my choice of reading material) and we all cracked up.
So I woke from my dream just after I had gone to bed in my dream with my leg in plaster wearing flannel striped frank pyjamas with the pins removed, a blue enamel brooch and turquise glitter surrounded by the things people had bought me back from this imaginary festival.
That was my dream last night and I think it's pretty weird.
although if thats not weird enough for you I had this one maybe the weekend? it's recent.
I lived with a group of people in an underwater place, we got by but it was hard and we were deperate to escape, think atlantis but with the feeling of aliens, I offer to try to go to a surface city to get help, many of us had gone to do this before but no one returned and no one believed I would. I was determined and managed to swim out to the surface, there was no land in site but plenty of debris. I clung to half a table I think it was and drifted eventually onto a beach. I walked and found a city, but it was not a city as we knew it, it was almost post apocolyptic, there had obviously been something bad happened but I had no idea what. I stopped the nearest person and they took me straight to court where the 'king' resided, I begged them to go help the rest of the people that were down there and they claimed that there was nothing they could do because they didn't know much about the sea, if I was willing to research the sea they would do it. So for days under guard I would be in the sea conducting research for them but after a very short time I became ill. I found out it was because the water was highly radioactive and thats why the guards never came close. As soon as the people realised I was becoming ill they set me out to sea to die. I lay at the shoreline for a while waiting to die but death didn't come, I was mutated into a pyromaniac freak, as my strength restored so did my anger so I went back to the city and burned it down.
