Meaning?
Is it that, the higher the better, because everyone will stop driving all over the f-ing palce in their Hummers, etc?
I agree.

Putting gas up to $4.00 a gallon would sure help unclog the roads... today $2.15

$1.92 a gallon for the lowest grade seems about average. I do see some $1.85/gallon's about, though.

Gas? I pay quarterly.

I assume you're talking about that refined oil product used to fuel motor vehicles? Petrol?

At the petrol station right outside my window its... [gets up and looks]... 82.9p per litre. I have no idea how many litres are in a gallon, but I know its several, and 82p is, I dunno, about $1.30? Consider yourselves lucky.

Course, if I was Richard 'foot-powered' Barney, I would be happy with the situation, but I'm not, so I'm not.

Right now its 88.5/litre,
which is shite b/c we have scads of oil right here in Alberta.
But it is a long weekend, and it never fails to skyrocket before a long weekend.

Last time I noticed, it was $1.93 here in State College, PA. Hummers and SUVs are very depressing. They're helping the world go to hell sooner.

I may walk to work but I drive everywhere else in my Volvo which does no better than 24 mpg. Ouch. It costs me £58 to fill up. Passed a couple of petrol stations today in North Lincolnshire selling unleaded at 83p litre. About £3.81 for a UK gallon. I calculate this to be about $5.65 per US gallon.

Doesn't concern me too much. If the government didn't tax me heavily here then they would get the money out of me another way. The thing that pisses me off the most is the ridiculously low fuel tax that the airlines have to pay. They should be brought more into line which would then end the stupid fly to Malaga for £1 offers. Totally unsustainable and environmentally damaging.

True. On my flight back from South Africa, the captain was chatting away, and he happened to mention that that single journey was using 56 tonnes of fuel! Thats insane, right!?

I think X-Wings run on super-concentrated orange juice. Much more efficient and cheaper than gasoline.

about $1.85/gallon in Atlanta. Christ, that's expensive; I remember back in '98 or '99 when it got down to $0.69/gallon. Ever since then it's just gradually gone up and, of course, recently it's skyrocketed.
