i hate having my hair cut, and i refuse to pay someone ridiculously large amounts of money to do it, especially when it will invariably turn out crap.
so i get my wife to do it.
she has done a very commendable job, and is improving every time.
it's unfortunate that my hair is both incredibly thick and grows incredibly fast.
but we manage.

i don't think i'll ever pay anyone to cut my hair ever again.

i don't mind going to get it cut now, the place near me only charges about £6 for a proper cut (not shavers in sight thank god!), and they do it pretty quick... so there's not much awkward silence. they still ask me if i've heard a certain song before when it comes on, unfortunately they listen to galaxy fm in there, so it's normally some shit dance tune that i've never heard in my life...

What is FINGE? Do you mean my bangs? They are not lopsided - they just aren't combed straight in that photo. This thread is mean to me.

talking about boys with long hair being rubbish, and shouting the cause for clippers and hair shaving... that's mean round these parts.

I'm a boy with rubbish hair, but I'm long. Do I win a prize?

My barber found out that I did sound engineering at uni and now we just chat about music stuff all the time, so its fine. Its still a hassle to walk the 15 minutes there, but I drag my backside over occasionally.

I'm currently mulling over the relative merits of a beard. Now, I haven't shaved for three weeks now so I have a reasonable faceful, but I'm deciding whether to keep it. I like having something to stroke in an eeeeevil kind of way, but it also lets the side down by making scratchy noises when I'm on the phone.
However, I kind of like it. Its not one of those nancy goatees or stylized little tufts, its just a big heap of hair on my face. I'd value opinions, maybe I'll get some before and after shots up soon.

adnan, I too was going to quote the man that be malkmus on 'cut your hair'.

what do I think is wrong? I think guys with shaved haids, or unneccessarily short hair is wrong, very wrong.

floppy all the way ...well, not all the way! haha, i mean hair.

I love that kind of dark floppy hair, going over their eyes, and yeah. hehe.

short hair I hate.

I love you for what I am not,
I did not ask for what I have got.

You will get used to me.
Welcome to your new joy.

Heh, are you cultivating an aroma floop? Try only showering every third day, it works a treat. The chicks'll go wild.

I always feel like an outsider in the 'indie/alternative' world 'cos I have a shaved head. People's attitude in that scene makes me sick. If you don't have a 'rock' haircut then then they don't want to know you, you don't fit in.

It doesn't help that all the bands today have to have a great bloody mop on their heads.

Well as Pete Doherty sang (with his shaved head) - "FUCK 'EM!!!"

I keep feeling like people are just looking at screens and web sites all the time, but do they ever do anything? Or go out and say anything to anyone? I'm not so sure anymore.

Don't forget Nathan, it's a lob-sided finge.

Isn't "lob" an archaic word for "spider"? So is that like one of those spider-web haircuts?

I'm curious if people also do it themselves when it comes to pubes. I mean, it easy enough to shave/trim in front but around the butthole is harder. Plus its more risky when you have precious cargo dangling about. Don't let those clippers slip!

So do you get the spouse to do it? Or has anyone bit the bullet and gone to those salons where they spread your legs?
