The cheapest you'll get a Jag (Jap reissue) in the USA is $500 I imagine, unless it's beat up and/or horribly modified.
Try ebay. Try www.fendershop.com Try ebay!

if you want a jag stang, just go to musiciansfriend.com. i got mine off of ebay like a couple months before they came back out on ebay for like 400 bucks. its prolly easier to just get a new one for a hundred bucks more. it took me like 5 auctions to finally win. 200 bucks i dont think will get you either of the guis you want. if thats all you got, youll be better off getting another guitar. but if you can get a few hundred dollars more then go ahead and get a get a jag, its a great guitar.

What guitars?
Have you even played one yet, or are you going on looks? Short-scale guitars are *very* different-feeling than your normal Gibsons or Fenders. |

People say that about shortscale, but I play a Jag, Mustang and Tele, and I wouldn't say it's *that* different. Yeah you can feel it, but it doesn't seem like much of a gap.
cfreier, why don't you sell those guitars and use the profits to buy a Jaguar?
If you've never played a Jaguar, this might be fun: http://www.webrocker.de/jaguar/misc/jag_interactive.htm

I need to know how to tune a bridge. My high frets are getting way out of tune. I know you can turn your tuner an octave down and hit the 12th fret on each string and you can tune it doing that using the screw, but on mine I will tune it regular then tune it on the 12th fret and go back to the string open and it will be out of tune so I tune and then the 12th fret will go back out of tune like brfore. I need to know how to fix this or else my guitar will sound like crap.

Most people replace the humbucker in the bridge on Jagstangs because they are rubbish, or so they say. I don't like Jagstangs. Nasty looking things.

You've got intonation problems. Play the 12th fret harmonic, and then the 12th fret note, and move the bridge saddles until the harmonic and fret note are the same on each string. ....or take it into a guitar shop and get them to set it up for you.

I just bought a Fender Mustang and I need to know how to install a humbucker into it. When I out the humbucker in the screws don't line up, only one does. So how can I fix this? Thanks

The priority is getting the pickup centered so the polepieces are as square under the strings as possible. Then check the holes and you may need to drill smaller pilots into the guard. As for the body routing, you may have to do some of that if your mustang is routed only for the standard single coils.
