I'm just finding it to be rather standard drum and bass. I'll give it another try - but there's tonnes of other stuff which is far weirder than this, maybe I was just expecting something on a Mike Patton weird level.
Speaking of which - I think I'm going to listen to Obfuscate's mix now.

The Magic Numbers - Hymn for Her (single). The only release by this band so far. Snippet available at www.themagicnumbers.net. Debut album due in May 05. This is a band to watch. Saw them live at Leeds Cockpit a few weeks ago and the audience went apeshit which was pretty incredible considering most of us there had never heard of them or their music. I got hold of the 7" from e-bay a few days later and (for my sins) paid £20 for it. I couldn't help myself.
I already posted about that band and song here rudeboy. It's old news now.
Damn, and I thought I was being so cutting edge...they haven't even had their first album out! Ah well I've thrown that 7" onto my Old News Now pile - f**k em! Instead listening to Belle and Sebastian 'The Boy with the Arab Strap.' |

Still working on finding my music groove today. Yesterday was a Frank Black day. Amazing how much easier it is to find my groove when I just listen to FB.
At the moment I am listening to Dusty Springfield. What I would really like to listen to is Beef. Fairly new band from my town...must get their album.
Okay...going back to listening to FB. |

Everyday is a Frank Black day for me.
Right now, listening to Telephone Free Landslide Victory. A bit on the loud side. Thank you, CVB!

Tre, who IS that guy, anyway? He is so not good looking.)

The new Beck LP. It's so-so, rather boring actually but it's my first listen.
