Okay, slackers. If you had to eat at a fast food place for the rest of your life, which one would it be. The choices are: McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, Taco Bell, Fazoli's, Arby's and KFC. Damn, it's hard for me to even consider Fazoli's in the same category as those others, but I'm only putting it here cuz that's what I would eat. Fazoli's is actually REAL food. As far as I know anyway. If you were to knock Faz off the list, then I suppose I'd say Wendy's simply because they have a fairly diverse menu, and the salad bar. I'm not sure that I've ever eaten KFC in my life. Anyway, I can imagine many of you don't touch fast food so this category will be difficult for you. What kinda slacker are you if you don't eat fast food!?!

Taco Bell/KFC is amazing but I'm going with Chik Fil A. I'd kill for Chik Fil A... The Christians have my chicken!

If you only ate fast food for the rest of your life, it would be a pretty short life so in the year or two I'd have left I'd probably go with Taco Bell. This probably makes no sense, but somehow I tend to feel a lot less icky after eating fast food mexican food than I do after eating cheeseburgers.
Plus, at Taco Bell you can also get little Pizza Hut pizzas so it's like a 2-fer-one.
I gave up fast food at the beginning of the year. Then last month my office relocated to a spot with a buncha fast food joints right across the street. So eventually I decided to get some lunch at Burger King. A whopper and a milkshake. Just once was alright, I figured. It was great so I ended up doing it for the rest of the week.
And now I'm suddenly breaking out and it's frustrating (i'm 27 and I'm fighting off zits). It could only have been the overload of Burger King food. Learned my lesson. |

indeed, if you ate only fast food, life would be very short. has anyone heard about that documentary called SUPERSIZE THIS that's coming out? a guy ate nothing but McDonalds for every meal, for 30 days. or, attempted to. about 2/3 of the way through his doctor told him he had to stop or he would literally die. he gained like 35 pounds..
i hear it's a good film. |

but, sticking to the topic. if i was forced to head nothing but fast food the rest of my life, my choice would easily be Baja Fresh.. and i'd probably still live a long healthy life. since their stuff, while technically "fast food", is all fresh. no preservatives or freezers.
long live Baja Fresh. |

The director of Supersize This was on Letterman last week and he had some good stories. He said that early into his month of eating only McDonalds he was sitting in his car eating a burger and he ended throwing it up. He said it was like his body was telling him not to do it.
I guess I would go with Wendy's. It seems to have more variety. A little salad, a baked potato, some chili. But more importantly Frosties everyday.
KFC or Long John Silvers would kill me in a week. |

I like the baked potatoes at Wendy's too if they were ever ready!
and Cali don't take a date to McDonalds! I'm guessing you were joking. But just in case, don't pay with small change either.

Why aren't there health food fast food reataurants? Like, organic, lots of vegetables, low cal, low fat.
Is it that hard to do? With so many people eating the Atkins or another low-carb diet (which I did for 2 years back in 98-00, and trust me, it pretty much sucked), I imagine there are enough people that care about their health that it would make tons of money. Does it seem strange to anyone else, or am I just being a crackhead, as usual? |

Arby's is pretty money as far as fast-food goes. They even have baked beans.
So it would have to be Arby's.
oh yeah, and what the hell is Fazoli's? some west coast thing?

I'm the Jared from Subway. I've never wanted to bring it up before...as I'm kind of embarassed about my reason for being a celebrity. But this thread has really touched my heart. When you're pushing 400 lbs., you can't do much to exercise. My exercise was walking to Subway and eating their tasty sandwiches.

We only have three of the choices over here. Out of those three, I guess it would have to be McDonalds 'cos they have the best milkshakes, and I LOVE milkshakes!!!

I was just reading about this film. I don't remember when I last ate McDonald's but the idea of toxic liver is making me really hungry...
The film documents how after scores of cheeseburgers, hundreds of fries and dozens of chocolate shakes, the formerly strapping 6-foot-2 New Yorker—who started out at a healthy 185 pounds - had packed on 25 pounds. But the supersized shape was the least of Spurlock's problems. Within a few days of beginning his drive-through diet, Spurlock, 33, was vomiting out the window of his car, and doctors who examined him were shocked at how rapidly Spurlock's entire body deteriorated. His liver became toxic, his cholesterol shot up from a low 165 to 230, his libido flagged and he suffered headaches and depression. |

No McDonalds can beat Souvlaki. If you ever visit Athens Greece try the souvlaki made by Olympic, a restaurant in Halandri. A.K.A the Antichrist because it's open 24\7 and not famous for his hygiene. But it tastes good.

Actually Wendys was the only place in the US (other than subway) that I managed to frequent whilst over there. Fast food joints are not particularly disposed towards vegetarians but the salad bar at Wendys is pretty decent. I became expert at piling up the food so as to achieve maximum efficiency per square inch of plate. Then to do away with the good intentions of lots of vegetables/salad I would heap vast quantities of ranch dressing all over the top.

If I had to pick from the list, I'd probably have to say McDonalds. Although I'd definitely be craving a Spicy Chicken Fillet after about a week of nothing but double cheeseburgers. I just couldn't live without McDonalds fries though. And Fillet o' Fishes and Big Macs are good sometimes too.
But if I could pick any fast food restaurant, I'd definitely have to go with the good old neighborhood chicago hot dog stand. Chicago dogs, Italian beef, fresh cut fries, and about a hundred other different foods. Sometimes I convince my girl and our friends to go there instead of going to a sitdown restaurant to eat, because it's so good. |
