"Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay" already getting enough respect, I gotta say that Redding's recordings of "That's How Strong My Love Is," "Try a Little Tenderness" and "These Arms of Mine" are some of the most powerful and soulful pieces of music ever recorded. And then of course there's his song "Respect," which gets much respect in a different form by a different artist. I really need to get more Redding in my collection, I just have a best of. Any recommendations?

I suggest "Don't Mess With Cupid" the original or the New York Dolls cover of it. Man, I love the New York Dolls.

I once way back bought an album that on one side had Jimi Hendrix playing at a Monterey festival and Redding singing at the same festival on the other side (I've since had all my alubms stolen). He sings Respect on that album and I remember getting goosebumps whenever I heard it. It was so fantastic and it sounded like the song is pouring out of him. Great stuff. Anybod know if that is on CD now?
