I have to try those some time.
I'm not cool enough to use slang... or maybe I'm TOO cool.
yeah that's the ticket.

A popular saying that was big when I was in high school and has died down a bit since was "Sucks to be you." I HATED that expression so much. Maybe it was the context I first heard it in. I dunno. Never was fond of that one.

Well, seeings how I interacted with about 1% of the student population in high school, and of that 1%, I really paid attention to about 10% of what they said, and of that 10% of things they said, I remember about 5%... okay, I'm confused.

You would never believe the depths to which the kids as my high school have sunk. Lets say I'm walking down the hall and I trip over something (usually myself) and my books fall all over the ground. What can usually be heard is:
"You got owned" or even better, "You got served". Don't worry, no dancing is involved.

when you people get high, do you say 'smoke up' or 'smoke out'?
Here in NY its always been smoke up, as in get high, but friends from both florida and cali are adament in using smoke out, as in hanging out and smoking.
I personally like 'up' better, but that may be a geographical bias.

I would slap them, if I weren't a puny freshman, and if I weren't sprawled on the floor picking up books. It also might help if they weren't these huge football players.

I've been dropping this a lot lately:
If someone says "hey, why did you do that?", or anything of that nature, you say "that's how I roll now".
Ex. 1
Uncool Troglodyte: Hey man, why did you eat the last of cookies? You: That's how I roll now.
Ex. 2
Amazed Gawker: Holy crackers man! You just punched that dude out! Golly! You: That's how I roll now.
And so forth. Enjoy! |

Actually, I'd say I hear "smoke down" the most for getting high.

If someone says 'See you later' you have to say 'not if I see you first'
If someone asks you a question, your answer should always be 'Why? What'd you hear?'
And if someone acts likes an idiot, you must say 'who brought the cool kid?'

You need to say something like: "I'm rubber, and you're glue...whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you."
At that point they: A. Say: "Oh, man, you got us." B. Beat you up or C. Say: "Haha...you said you're a rubber!"

A phrase that I always thought was really harsh that a lot of kids around here were using is "You suck at life!" I use the word reckon a lot, reckon is a great word. As is swank, I urge everyone to urge swank more, instead of saying something is cool say it's swank, lets start a revolution. Also I like "Booyaka!" which is my way of saying "In your face!"

Step 1: Watch the entire first season DVD of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Pay attention to Meatwad. He da man.
Then, watch Shaft. Like 12 times or so.
Ok now some extra ammo:
Ganked = stolen (depricated but quaint. Use of skeezed, yoinked, or boosted is also acceptable) Stupid motherfucker = everyone you don't know. Maybe some you do. 2 beers short of a 6-pack = A stupid motherfucker (also Insane) Shiner = Black eye. Usually worn by some stupid skeezin' motherfucker that is obviously 2 beers short of a 6-pack, after he boosted your shit.
A personal favorite: "That boy's cheese done slid off his cracker!" = Used to imply the sudden loss of cognitive function or rational thought.

You've inspired me to expressions such as:
"Take a ride on the Thunder-mug"
or
"Take a ride on the porcelain chariot"
Chicks dig those.

Well, there is this "Far Side" comic, where it shows scientists at a chalkboard, and they've just figured out how to translate dog barking. They realize that when dogs bark all they say is "Hey, hey, hey, hey".

Ad, you want to try some proper Cockney rhyming slang. As in: Apples and pears = stairs Rosie Lee = cup of tea Dog and bone = phone
Now, beers is traditionally pigs ears, but more recently has shown signs of evolving into Britney Spears, as in "I'll have a couple of Britneys" Make your own up, its fun.
As for the rest, take some notes (not too many) from Big Ron: Early doors, little eyebrows, spotters badge. Even I don't know what they mean.
Finally the classic: "Back of the net" = "what a fortuitous circumstance or event" Can be combined with the left index finger on nose, right index pointing away gesture.
"I joined the Cult Of Joey and Iggy/Cos they can hypnotise chickens" |

For reasons unknown, the expression I've been hearing for something really good is now 'Tight'. As in: "That's a tight CD" or "This Corvette is tight"
What's up wit dat?
