Ay chinga'o! I totally forgot yesterday was 5 de Mayo. I'm always torn apart between celebrating the Mexican victory and mourning the French defeat...

you could celebrate both by eating a crapito (half crepe/half burrito)

Why is 'monosyllabic' such a long word?

Ok, yours is much funnier, shineoftheever.

Why, Homers pet monkey, you can get one at my fine 24-hour Crapito-Burp establishment. The food leaves a bit to be desirred, but there's an organ grinder (and his monkey) in the unisex bathroom, and he plays Frank Black tunes non-stop.

I, personally, refuse to go into any bathroom with anything referred to as an "organ grinder" - musical or not. The monkey is good if there is no TP in the stall, though.

So would anyone care to explain the significance of 5 May to a plebeian? The only one I've noticed is that today is 05/05/05.

Me and my roomates use to beer-bong tequila. Yeeecchh. I use to love tequila. I rarely touch it nowadays. Normally my company throws a big 5/5 bash and caters authentic mexican food. This year they did'nt. Hmmmmmm. I wonder if I'll have a job soon.

Cinco De Mayo commemorates the day Mexico defeated the French Army in the Battle of Puebla in 1867. in a sense, it's an anti-French holiday.

that stuff is expensive. there are some insanely expensive ones out there. once, VERY drunk with a friend, we got a shot of tequila that was $30 (each).. i don't remember what it was, but i think that's what it might have been.

i didn't taste the difference. plus, i wasn't buying.. but yeah, Cuervo is bottom of the barrel. mixed in a margarita, maybe.. but if you're doing serious drinking, Cuervo is to be avoided (unless you enjoy projectile vomiting first thing in the morning)

Yeah, fuck you too, floop and simon.

Although floop's right about Jose Cuervo. Herradura Añejo is the one you need (if you can afford it)

My wife spent the day singing her hymn waving a mexican flag. I find it funny how they celebrate their victory on May 5th, completely ignoring the fact that we beat the shit out of them 6 months later and ruled their country.
