speaking about the UK release Jo - i went into 2 shops today round liverpool street at lunchtime today and neither of them had the dvd, whereas both had the cd in prominent positions as a new release with a shitload of stock, and 1 was even playing it in the store...
was it just that i wasn't looking hard enough, or what?

and also, both had the 50 foot wave cd, so was stoked i could pick that up - but one shop had it for £5.99, whereas it was only £4.99 in the other - i paid the former unfortunately.

that's strange... although the DVD shipped a lot less than the Best Of, so maybe some stores are waiting to see if people ask, and will then get some in? strange though...

good to see that 50 Foot Wave is being well stocked... I was worried they'd be overshadowed by the Pixies today!

but the music dvd's are never displayed in prominent places anyways compared to film dvd's or music cd's, so it's not a suprise i couldn't find it.
i was tempted to ask, but as i already have it, i felt kinda stupid.

and man, does the 50 foot wave cd rock hard.
only listened to half of it, but man o man, it's fabulous.

I was HMV in one of Dublins main out of town shopping centres (malls for all you yanks ;-)) and the DVD was ranked no.1 in the Music DVD charts and the best of was no.6 in the album charts. Has anyone seen official ranks in HotPress or anything like that? I enjoyed the DVD, pity there wasnt more on the road footage and less footage of that gobshite Bono in Gouge.

regards

I think HMV must follow the Irish charts... the Best Of went in at 6, and although we're not 100% here, we know the DVD went in pretty high...

UK wise, damn, I've forgotten - the Best Of was in the Top 20 - maybe number 16? and the DVD went straight in at Number 1 in the Music DVD chart, beating Britney, which is quite cool, and overall, in the Top 20 (against films) which is pretty bloody marvellous!
