If anyone knows a young male (preferably) looking for a roommate in northern new jersey, please let me know
my friend bailed on me and i really need to move closer to where i'll be working - commutes don't sit well with me

damn, I was hoping this would be a diatribe on a current roommate. It's always entertaining to hear what shitty living situations people get caught up in. well, once you do find that roommate, I'm sure the complaints will come pouring onto the forum within a month or two. Here's to pessimism.

| i wish i had a shitty roommate. instead i have...my mother. and she keeps on trying to embarass me by talking about johnny depp around people cos she apparently heard me making 'sexual remarks' about him to a friend once. and my friend's the one who likes him! t'ain't fair. |

As for roomates, at one point I had a guy from Poland named Igor and an Indian girl named Shaherazad. It was like the UN at my house!

Ok, here's a diatribe on current roomates. I live in a flat with another 3 guys, one is a total nerd, one is an "artist" and one is a dj. They are ok people but sometimes life becomes pretty surrealistic . Like the other day that i came back from the hospital and in the hall i found the "artist" spraying a piece of wood (his last creation), the nerd was drilling a hole in the wall (actually i asked him to do it 'cause i wanted to pass lan cables for our home network) and the dj was practicing his new set at full volume. I tried to go to the bathroom but it was occupied (a friend of the dj), so i went in the kitchen to have a beer only to find the nerd's girfriend and her sister that were cooking and another friend of the dj that was drinking my beers.
I really miss the times i lived with my parents.

During college I used to live in a house in Dublin my brother likened to the Munsters house and it was fine for termtime but during the summer we really let the place go to pot. My housemate got foodpoisoning as a result, a pretty serious case and one day before it hit her badly and she was working, her boyfriend and me got to drinking wine on the livingroom floor. We spilled a bottle and fetched some salt to clean it out of the carpet, as you do, but we upturned the entire tub onto the floor and went on drinking. We discovered that the salt mound had the same shape as England so we marked out the coastline with popcorn seeds and some of the major cities, with a cigarette butt mooshed in it for London. It stayed there for a while, and when my housemates parents and her grandmother came to take her home for her foodpoisoning a few days later they were collected in the livingroom around this salt-and-cigarette-butt sculpture. There's a roommate story but in it I was the odd one. Everybody I've lived with has been quite pleasant.
