I just chekced and TM still has some balcony available. Depending on if some of my friends can make it i will most likely have tix.

So are there any reserved seats on the floor or are there reserved seats in the balcony? If so I might trade my floor seats so for first row balcony I can see the band. I won't be sitting down tho.

Man I can't wait...

Hi,

My seats are all 3rd row balcony, that is very close to the front in section 218. I bought 4 tickets, but only need two..I bought extra figuring someone else might need some at some point...of course they would only be sold at cost (excluding taxes).

LoganZ,
Didn't you get a ticket for Wilkins?? I can understand wanting to go to Chicago because the Wilky has very shitty acoustics, but I must admit I don't know if the Twin Cities warrants 2 shows. It holds 5000+ people. I mean, didn't each of the Chicago shows sell out in under 10 minutes? There's still tickets for sale for silky Wilky. I would definitely be in favor of 5 nights at 1st Ave., but that just ain't gonna happen. Boy, I'm VERY sorry to say that even though it's a crappy gynasium I've seen more shows there in the last year than I have at 1st Ave. and I don't even like RW!! They got the good shows, I go. Sad but true.

Kimmyd where are you??? We miss you!!

As far as a second show goes... I doubt there will be one especially since the first one hasn't sold out yet.

Do you even think people other than the ones in this forum know that tickets are on sale?? I talked to people in line at the 4/13 show an that group hadn't heard. I just think people aren't aware that they're comming back.

I am really hoping for a second show...because that would be so cool, but the word needs to get out for the tickets to sell out first. I am also guessing that the faster tickets sell out the more likely another concert will be added. Anyone know?? I want more than one show!!!!

I was on the ball for the November show. Awake and ready to go, I ordered my four tickets for my friends and myself. Later that day, however...I get an e-mail from ticket master saying my tickets weren't going through due to my shitty bank. Somehow the f*$ks at weels fargo had a different mailing address on my card. Now I don't know if I got my tickets or not STILL. Ticketmaster took the money out of my account, though. If I miss this show too I will be uber pissed.

I got four. I needed 1 more, and could've got it if I had known the max tickets had changed. When did they change that? I checked on Wednesday, and it showed four. In my spastic fury to get tickets as quick as possible, I overlooked it.

Right now it looks like I will have up to 4 to sell here at face value + tm fees...I am also hoping to trade floor tix for first row balcony if anyone has 'em.

I just don't want to put them up here until i get them in the mail :)

I just checked and there are still some balcony tix avail. too.....

Hopefully you guys can find tickets from fans here that are just charging face value...

But I just checked with Ticket King and they have floor and balcony tickets. They had 1st frow center balcony...but they were $145 each. I am going to see if I can trade here instead. I didn't ask how much floor would be but I am guessing it will be pretty pricy.

Since I have talked to some people that I know will be selling their tickets here, I am thinking you can prob get a tix for face value here.

Good luck!!!

there will not be a 2nd Mpls show. for venues/promoters to add multiple shows in the same city, the show has to sell out insanely fast, like well under an hour. which Mpls didn't sell out until the next day.

That's a bummer...I figured as much but thanks for sharing Solace...

but at least I'll get to see them twice which is way more than I ever imagined until recently.

Daisy Girl, if you're going to have any of those floor tickets for sale still, I'd love to help you out (or you to help me out. Whatever.). I know a friend of mine got some balcony tickets but I'm not sure if they're first row or not. And he may need first row because he's physically handicapped and can't stand very well, let alone a whole concert. Does anybody know if this place has handicapped seating?

No problem Prozacrat... you were the first person to post 4 em, so I was planning to be democratic like that!!

The deal with the other tickets is I know 2 are balcony...my mom ordered those 4 me and she couldn't remember what row they were.

So depending on what row they are I will either give away 2 floor (to you) and two balcony or 4 floor... i just want to wait till i get the balc. and floor in the mail and figure it all out first...

Ooops... I almost forgot... I am know there is seating for the physically disabled...but not sure what location it would be...since one of the scaplers is selling front row balc. for $145 i am gussing that some of the first row balc is not for the physically challanged...

Before ya'll make any rash decisions remember that there are 7 whole months until the show. I'm not sure when we'll actually have mail-ordered tickets in hand, though I'm guessing it'll be several months from now at least.

Some more thoughts about this venue. I've seen 100s and 100s of shows in my life and in the last 10 years I've seen about 10 rock shows at Roy Wilkins. The place is a gol'darn gym/cavern/hanger/ufo(?). As you would expect the sound just bounces around, worse than the Target Center, and worserererer than the Xsmell Energy Center. That said, I've found that being within 10 rows of center stage has always sounded just fine. A little light on the vocals obviously, but no evil echo. The balcony wraps around in an odd fashion. I've had front row balcony directly facing the stage and that's QUITE a distance away, and with bad sound too.

Since the only spot I hadn't tried was a side balcony seat, which is actually MUCH closer to the stage than the front & center balc, I opted for it this time out. I got some nice seats in sec 217 in row A and even in the buying frenzy managed to notice that ticket limit tweaking and went for all 6 instead of 4. Here's hoping the sound is better here.

At least 4 tickets are spoken for and I don't plan on making any decisions until fall(!!), but I'll certainly keep you folks posted.

By the way, anyone heard the rumor that PJ Harvey will be opening? Made some sense to me when I heard it, but I would have thought she would have been publicized by the time the tickets went on sale. Beats me.

theman, do you honestly think Xcel Energy Center is that bad? especially as far as sound goes, for concerts? i've been too 100's of arenas throughout the US, and nothing can even come close to how great the sound at Xcel is.

Rogery Daltrey of the Who regarded after they stepped off the stage from their show 2 years ago "We've never played a better sounding arena in the US, ever"

if i have to go to an arena to see a big rock show, Xcel is one of the few places that i actually LOOK forward to seeing shows at. i've seen about 2 dozen there since it's opened, and every one has been incredible. even the 2 Prince shows i saw from the upper deck in 2002, the sound was incredible.

sure i'd much rather see a show at First Ave, 400 Bar, Entry, Triple Rock, or one of our awesome Theaters, but when it comes to the big shows, you can't do much better than Xcel honestly.

Otto Jr., cool fotos! Solace, I've only seen 2 shows at Xcel, both Bob Dylan, so I'm no expert on the sound there. I can believe that it's better than other big box arenas. For every 100 small club shows I've only been to 1 arena show, so I guess you can see my preference.

Otto Jr... thanks so much for the pictures! It's going to be a long but worthwhile wait. I can't believe I have to wait 'till almost Turkey Day.

Logan Z i agree...how can we wait that long?

Josh...am glad to hear everything worked out with you and ticketmaster. I will have two tickets. Basically I am waiting on having them delevered. I am waiting to see what row the balcony tickets are...so depending on how good those are I will either keep the balcony tickets and sell the floor or vice versa. Are you looking for floor only?

I think it will be awhile until TicketMaster sends them...so keep looking here and other places for your friends. When I get them you will be first on the list if you haven't found them already!

Thanks Daisy...The friend i am trying to get tickets for is the friend who introduced me to the Pixies and Frank Black. I lived in Spain for a year studying abroad and rented a BMW motorcycle to follew Frankie and the Catholics around Europe for about ten days. I am excited to see the band that started it all. This 7 months is going to fly. I guarantee it.
