I've always been interested in this. I think after I saw the movie Pi and asked my Jewish friend about it my interest never waned. I caught the end of a Bible Code show today and there are Codes that say a massive earthquake will hit Cali in 2010 and that the world might end in 2012 when it's devastated by a comet. Anyone here believe this or know much about it? It would be really interesting if any of you actually make these matrices.

I saw something about it sometime in 2000 that said there would be a major war starting in September 2001 -- I'm serious!!

yeah, this show said it predicts the twin towers and has bin laden's name and such. They all say it's hard to avoid things though cause they don't know what they're looking for.

It's all horse shit. Pure coincedence. I saw a bit on that and then searched the internet and there's a ton of websites debunking all that. It's easy to find things if you know what to look for. No major war started in September 2001. The Afghanistan thing was planned in advance, Iraq has been planned for years...the world was supposed to end a million and one times already.

Jim's right. It's an urban myth. There was a programme on BBC a few weeks ago that pretty much debunked the whole thing. The proponents of the Bible Code argument are very clever with the manipulation of their data. I think the defining moment was when they found a code in Moby Dick using the same methods. Still, people will continue to believe. Just like people are convinced that the Moon landings were faked and Elvis is still alive.
Actually cancel the last one - Elvis works at my local Post Office.

Event Horizon was a very cool premise for a movie. Very cool.
But it fizzles out towards the end! |

Aah, pity the humour-starved Americans that find Homer funny. How sweet. Its all very well saying you'd like to meet up with him, but I'm pretty sure he'd end up following you round and sleeping at your house...

Well, the REALLY scary thing is that "Event Horizon" being on BBC1 was also predicted in the book of Daniel. Along with Elvis faking the moon landing.
