So who got tickets? I got section DRB row B which blows!!! I got 3 tickets and I definitely should have gotten 1 because I could have gotten a much better seat. Oh well, it'll be OK I guess

So does anyone else think 19 tickets was an excessively high limit for purchase? I am betting a good chunk of these tickets will end up in the hands to "ticket agencies".

Did anyone get any extras? I'm looking for 3, if anyone over bought i would like to see about taking them off you hands for a slight "handling fee".

Thanks for the heads up about the show on the 13th---snagged some great tickets, and will be seeing Pixies 2 nights in a row in the Orchestra section. Can't wait! I last saw the Pixies in 1991, and I can't imagine how surreal this is going to be---my favorite band of all time. I know there are a lot of naysayers about this reunion thing, but as both an ardent Pixies and FB fan, I can tell you I have not been this excited about a show since---well, my first concert, which was the Pixies. I'm sure a lot of long-time fans out there feel the same.

QUESTION: I'm not really familiar with Fox Theatre. Could someone in the know recommend a nice hotel within walking/cab distance?

See you there!

Captain, There are lots of hotels right downtown near the fox, but they won't be cheap. How much are you looking to spend on a hotel?

Fox is one of the finest venues in the South.

Got 2 tix.

Stayed at the Sheraton eons ago to see a show at the fox and walked there (15 min)...

I'll provide info on what I can find.

HEy all--thanks for replying. Well, this is kind of a special occasion for us---meaning my little brother who is celebrating his birthday that weekend, his girlfriend and my wife---and though I'd hardly say money is no object, we're looking to stay in a pretty nice place within walking distance. Sheraton sounds like a good option; thanks for the suggestion! I'll definitely look into it. Any other info you could share would be much appreciated.

Never been to the Fox. Finest venue in the south? Wow, looking forward to it all the more now!

Hope to bump into you guys there. October will be here before we know it...

Captain,

Their website actually has a list of hotels close by. http://www.foxtheatre.org/restaurants_hotels.htm#hotels
If you want something really nice, check out the Georgian Terrace.
