Ive just downloaded this song off of Kazaa, and it mentionned that it was a FB song.... but upon listening it doesn't sound anything like Frank. Is this a Stan Ridgeway song?

There was an eighties song called "Mexican Radio," and it was by a band called Wall of Voodoo. Is that what you're thinking of? I don't think Frank ever played that song, or any other by that name.

Haha, I can just imagine it's going to become one of those common bits of misinformation caused by downloading songs, just like people thought that both Ween and Phish did a live cover of Gin and Juice when it was in fact a band called the Gourds. So now you'll say to people, "Heard of Frank Black?" and they'll say, "Oh yeah, that Mexican Radio song."

i dled a FB song once, labeled as mexican radio, but it turned out to be "sunday sunny mill valley groove day"(live) mislabeled. maybe because in the intro frank says something about a king of tex mex.

I love it when files are mislabeled. Actually, no, I hate it. I once thought I was getting Weezer covering Led Zeppelin's Heartbreaker, and it turned out to be Say It Ain't So (since they say heartbreaker in ths song). I spent all that time downloading a song I already goddamn had. Then again, it might've been frighteningly bad to hear Weezer cover Zep.

Yes, Stuart, it is Stan Ridgway--he fronted Wall of Voodoo.
Anybody remember the video for Mexican Radio where Stan's beslimed head emerges from a large pot of beans?

"Fish Heads" constantly gets misattributed to TMBG, for some reason.
