I'm sure they've had a good chuckle today.
(although, I can imagine this thread will progress into "okay, so the April Fool's thing is just a cover-up for the fact that this really is a Pixies show" ... let's not end our fun just yet). |

To our defense, it seems like this entire forum is a big sausage fest to begin with, isn't it? Not sure if it's a Pixies thing or an Internet thing.

no no no no no. I don't know anything about tomorrow. for reals. i've just been reading your posts, and agree that if whoever posted that P2 stuff just did it for kicks, that would be horrible. i never heard nuthin' about P2 in the first place, but then again i am not privy to the "inner circle."
I don't know anything.
Now I have 5 posts. And this is my second on this topic. May 2nd is the second day of Coachella, right?
I plan on having a beer that day.

i had that figured out after lsinger pointed out the "five-teen" thing. just because the translation means "april fools in fifteen days" doesn't mean secret blissful pixies gig isn't happening.

note how the breeders show is listed right under the fake show.. my guess is the zine is trying to say the rumour that the Pixies are the "secret guests" is true without actually coming out and saying it... this makes it more fun!

Hey everyone,
Now after a month of painfully keeping my mouth shut (for once), I can say that, YES, it was an April Fools "joke".
The last week especially, I've been very unhappy about carrying through with it, but I'd already taken it that far and just pulling it off the concert calendar might have caused even more trouble.
I was happy to see that somebody figured out the rather "heavy handed" hint from 15 days prior to the show, but it still kept going it looks like.
Anyway, it was all in fun and I've felt your "pain" before, trust me (as was explained in that same article).
Anyway, the people who wrote us are going to get a little something for their troubles. I'll be contacting them this weekend.
