Just stopped on by http://www.wilwheaton.net/index.php and noticed all the headings he has that are lyrics from Pixies songs. I wonder if he's into FB&tC.
Also, I just heard that Enterprise might be cancelled which would be excellent. The current producers of the ST franchise are apparently out and Jordan Kerner, the guy who produced The Mighty Ducks, Inspector Gadget and Snow Dogs, is in - which is bad. They also, from what I hear, want to make a trilogy of Prequels which will culminate with the introduction of young ensign Kirk. That is also really pretty bad.
Is anyone on here even a ST fan or am I just wasting my time?

wil wheaton is a fucking idiot.
when he first put his site up it was kind of funny because it was mostly self-depricating.
that didn't last long, soon he was claiming to be a geek and blah blah blah...
then the 300lbs loser fangirl following came out of the woodwork and they responded to every one of his posts saying 'omg wil you're so smart!' 'omg wil you're so hilarious!' etc.
makes me want to fucking retch. |

one time he posted something that really irked me, i think it was because it was really, really self-worshipping. i called him out on it in his comments and got of course, banned from the site.

fb's posts on this forum are much more entertaining, friendly, etc. even though they're uncommon, which is understandable since he has a career unlike mr. wheaton.
the problem is that it's a real vanity site like most people's private blogs. and those are always painfully conceited and boring.
i prefer celebrity sites like bobanddavid.com where it's not a blog at all. |

I popped by every few days for a couple weeks...he seems rather sincere, and puts effort into sharing his thoughts, and even thinks about some of his thoughts.
I didn't say i agreed with him, or even really like him - but for a celebrity, i get a better feeling that he's a fairly 'real' person than many others.
Star Trek is a little like that anyway i guess..
Imagine one of the people from FRIENDS running a blog and website..hahah

i guess it depends how you define "a lot of time". i checked it once in a while (not even every week) back when i had a job where i had nothing to do but browse the web all day.
he seemed like a 'normal' person to me until he started bitching about really ridiculous stuff. i think it was something about working hard on a movie or some bullshit like that.
i think my response was something about how he's never had to really work in his life, etc. |
