Pixies Play Bumbershoot, V Festival
The Pixies, Nas are the first main-stage acts announced for this year's Bumbershoot, the arts and music festival at Seattle Center on Labor Day weekend. Nas performs Sept. 5, while the Pixies take the stage on Labor Day, Sept. 6. Other confirmed artists include Koko Taylor, Brother Ali and Harvey Pekar. Starting March 24, single-day tickets are $15 until Aug. 27, then $25 per day.
The Pixies, along with Dido, The Strokes, Pink, and others are confirmed to play England's V Festival August 21 and 22. Tickets go on sale at 9.00am this Saturday (March 20) priced £98.50 (weekend with camping), £82.50 (weekend no camping) or £46.50 (Saturday or Sunday day tickets) and are available from www.gigsandtours.com. The twin festivals take place in Chelmsford, Essex, and Weston Park, Staffordshire.

They are playing at the same stage as the Sugababes at the Pinkpop festival in Holland  |

look at it this way- there's gonna be more devoted fans braving Pink and Dido than there would be if say, they played with modest mouse.
