Jessica Simpson.
She can't sing and when she DOES sing she makes these horrible poop faces and throws her hands all around like she is standing on the third rail, and she just generally bugs me. Also, she is spending money like she will always have it which makes her not only a ditz but just stupid. Her TAKE MY BREATH AWAY cover is what has mainly inspired my hate.

Yeah, that dumb bitch. I saw a clip of her stupid show with her ugly meat-head looking husband and they were talking about songs she and him should cover and sing together. They mentioned Carole King and asked her if she knew who Carole King was, and she had no clue. STUPID FUCKING BITCH. What female singer doesn't know who Carole King is? STUPID FUCKING BITCH.

I can't stand Ryan Seacrest!! He's everywhere. On billboards, on telly, even in cereal!!! He's on a box of fucking cereal what the fuck!! Fuck... fuck fuck fuck!! You know, I honestly can't hate Jessica Simpson. She seems like a very nice person. She never comes off as spiteful or being bad by any means. But I do pity her. She seems to have the comprehension skills of a box half-filled with burnt hair. Or maybe a broken brick. Is that grounds to hate someone? Not in my book. But I pity her something fierce.

It seems like almost everytime I say to someone, " I hate my boss (or someone I work with)", the other person gets freaked out by the word, and they say something like "Hate is a very strong word."
People today (and especially people between 18-22) think that hating a person is a step or two away from being a racist or something.
Some individuals, or songs or movies deserve to be hated.
I'm not sure, though, that Jessica Simpson is one of those people. She doesn't seem like an asshole at all, and I think Nick is a decent guy.
Don't get me wrong- their version of "Take My Breath Away" is pure dogshit, but what did you expect?

and old friend of mine had this interesting theory about young female postars and their sex lives.

i did not know anything about them before their show, what were they pop artist? it seemes to me that Jessica Simpson has created a little bit of a name for herself by being dumb, almost too dumb. now i'm not saying she is a genius, but if she just stuck to singing poorly i'd still have no idea who she is. for her acting(being) stupid is a money tree. stupid like a fox. a very hot fox

I've heard of jessica Simpson I think, but neither of the others, which is a comfort. But be aware, we do have our own equivalents... Jordan, Tara Palmer-Tompkinson, Jodie Marsh, Jade flippin' Goody, a bunch of people who appear to be famous for being famous.
My hate would be directed towards the Cliffhanger King, floop, who taunts us with tales of derring-do and bird-staring contests, then removes the evidence without a trace.
Not on the same level as, um, anyone involved in any reality TV show though.

I'd never heard of Jessica Simpson (who I don't find attractive at all -- she doesn't look like a real woman), Ryan Seacrest or Carson Daily either. I suspect I'm better off not knowing them, too.
The story about Carole King reminds me of what Maya Price said about Britney Spears in her notorious 'Open Letter to Rolling Stone' (widely and falsely attributed to Joan Jett):

Even if we did have these shows on our telly I wouldn't watch them. A huge swathe of popular culture is passing me by. I probably watch about 5 or 6 hours of TV a week and most of that would be the news, Newsnight, documentaries like Horizon, cutting edge sitcoms like The Office, the odd bit of sport and an occasional film. Casualty - never seen it. Coronation Street - never watched it. Saturday Night telly - avoid like the plague. Pop idol - no thank you. Big Brother - pointless. It's fun sometimes having discussions with big tv watchers. They're amazed that I have no knowledge of the big rating soaps yet they in turn would not have watched (or ever heard) of Newsnight Review.
We've just bought a Freeview box though. I have to admit to watching a bit of that Bid up tv. What's her name from Bucks Fizz was selling some dodgy looking jewellry (skull rings or something). It's staggering to think that people buy enough stuff off these programmes to keep them on air.
How about one of the American FB.net members explaining who the three miscreats are in this thread. I might be able to raise my geek rating then. |

Ryan Seacrest - lame reality TV show host, also has a rock for a brain. Now taking over long-running radio shows, and dominating TV airwaves in commercials.
Carson Daily - lame MTV host
