What time does the show start? What time are the Pixes going on? It's all about time and we're cutting kind of close of the drive. I'm actually hoping the opening band is meatloaf then the Pixies wont be going on until after 11. |

We're having Todd Trainer's "band" open. "They" are called Brick Layer Cake. |

Ticketmaster says doors open at 8pm. If this is true, then one could guess the opening band might start at 9pm... and who knows when the Pixies would take the stage? 9:45?
It is 420 miles from Winnipeg to Minneapolis. If you maintain an average speed of 60 MPH, (leaving the airport around 11:30) you should still arrive at the Fine Line long before the doors open.

Boys & Boy Petters -
The crap that has drown this board is pathetic. Everything that has been posted the last two pages is all unnecessary - mainly because I had no hand in the madness. The most important post in the history of this board is to follow directly behind this one - stay tuned. However, since most of you losers just hack this shit at work (which is totally wrong I might add - hacking the internet on your employer's dime is really for small people) you probably will miss the big announcement this weekend which will give those few "weekend" readers an early start. That is assuming, of coarse, that you aren't too busy eating kids cereal and watching kids cartoons on the television. I'm sure Jacka would say cartoons are for douches. That's what we love about him - his ability to call a douche a douche. With the D&D reference we know that Shaun W will be parked in front of the tv for the Saturday morning kid-a-thon. By the way Shaun W, I know you were trying to drop the D&D line in jest however, in doing so you couldn't of made it more clear. You're a D&D loser or if I were to give you the benefit of the doubt I could say that you used to be into it until you met some cool people (probably introduced you to the Pixies) and they told you that D&D was gay so you dropped the habit. Now you just slag the whole thing in an attempt to keep smart people like myself off of your trail that would haze the living shit out of you for being into D&D if they were to find out.
Roomloop, why can't you be in charge of this thread anyways? Logan Z is such a painful handle to type and really, should anyone that uses initials or numbers even be allowed on this board anyways?
Porkie, do not suggest that Circle Jerk is not one of the greatest bands of all time. So I listen to Circle Jerk. Does that mean that I don't like Black Flag? No, it doesn't. Besides get off the web if you think that things actually get accomplished.
As far as all this talk of who is who and who isn't who, I will solve it this way: On April 13th at the Fine Line in Minnie I, The Realist, will be wearing a black T-shirt with the letters t-h-e-r-e-a-l-i-s-t screen printed in white on the front. I will also be surrounded by a bunch of Deltas probably wearing Abercrombie shit and looking pretty shabby-chic but that's beside the point I guess. Anyways, you all are poor judges of character because here is the scoop. Calistan has to be a girl based on her passive writing style. The Passion is definitely a male as he is very aggressive and verbose. Josh is, well, not verbose. Verbose people can't be not verbose even when they try. Shaun W is so fucking in love with The Passion that I don't think that even someone as self aggrandizing as The Passion could stomach doing that to himself. I think he'd be embarrassed for himself. Porkie is just porkie so who cares.
I'f you bothered to read this in its entirety is you have to be getting close to pulling the trigger.
What's the record for longest post?

La Policie Maison Doyon, for the benefit of all others, demands one final Reality check.
The band is the Circle Jerks, plural, mistake suggests he is too young to know, and too naive to understand the term.
He truly cares about cool and not cool, which is very not cool. He is extremely image conscious, which is also not cool, and suggests he is still in an image conscious environment. Too young for a credit card, too young to have tickets.
His reading comprehension is well below a high school level. Either they are not teaching what they used to in college or one too many frat parties have taken their toll.
His chosen deadline for the contest implies he is ignorant to the fact that people will travel from all across the continent to be in Minneapolis, or perhaps his geography is that poor.
I fear any and all "contest winners" will be in Minneapolis without tickets. This person has attached himself to this topic to prey on your desperation. Please consider this warning. |

Nice read hand job, nice.
Congratulations on being smarter than me. You must have to be really dumb to actually have tickets to the show because it sure seems like a lot of smart people are without. |

Can you name one Circle Jerks song? This is a trick question.
On second thought, since you are obviously smarter than me it seems that you should get the last ticket I have to give.
Aside: Your IQ may be 50 or so points higher than mine, however, I am happy to settle with the fact that my bank account is 50 or so times greater than that of yours.
You are a bitter loser who has no tickets, but don't worry, us rich kids will keep it real in your place.
P.S. Read any FB interview and you will find out that he is doing for the money, not the fans. Sad to you I'm sure, but don't worry your janitorial job will still be there Monday. |

A couple of things about rich people.
They have more than one bank account because each bank account is only insured to a certain amount ($50,000 in Canada). Rich people tend to care more about net worth, or more in particular, what percentage of their net worth they do not have to pay taxes on.
Some care more about what money and power can do for themselves and others. Most philanthropic people I know are rich, have deep convictions and relate easily with everyone they meet.
Rich people know that 'Phil' the Jaguar mechanic will not work on the weekend as long as a football match is being played anywhere on god's green Earth. |

Dear Ted Dibiasi Jr., I know you don't read so good, I will say it clearly.
In a Utopia there would be no need and you would not be on FBnet.

Fact of the matter is this, 750 people are going to the opening show at the Fine Line and you aren't one of them - deal with it an move on. Anyways, aren't Pixies fans all sci-fi geeks anyways? I mean, can't you just imagine yourself at the show with a taser stuck up your ass?
I'd get you all in if you weren't so pathetic.

No hand in the madness? You started this whole thing! Sure, you left for a few days and the madness continued, but you sort of threw the grenade into the crowd, so to speak. Your first post to this board was a flame -- don't be surprised if everyone targets you as a troublemaker. If I greeted everybody on the street with "Fuck You!" I'm sure most people would think I was a dick, too.

Realbitch, Though I'm sick of your bullroar grandstanding on the board, I'll enter and win your stupid trivia contest. But how can any of us be sure that your game is legit? You'll probably just make us all jump through hoops, only to award the ticket to one of your fake personalities. |

Realist: I've got a Magic tournament to get to so I can't stay long, I just wanted to welcome you back. I'm sure everyone's happy to see you. I know I went FAR too long without my daily dose of reality from the master. How are you gonna monitor your little contest? Whoever finds the website you jack your trivia from and emails you back the fastest wins or what? |

I don't know if there are any Prince fans here...but I have 2 pairs of tickets to see him at Xcel, for either the first (6/16) or third (6/18) dates. These tickets were purchased through the NPG Music Club, so I don't know exactly where the seats are because you don't find out until they are picked up at will call the night of the show...but they are guaranteed to be somewhere in the reserved sections closest to the stage. That being said, I'm willing to trade one of these pairs of tickets (your choice) for just ONE (I'd say a pair, but that's probably pushing it) Pixies ticket at the Fine Line. email: lafemmeaffole@yahoo.com |

Jacka(napes) -- I might have space for you and Matt, the only catch being that I have nothing soft (mattress, couch) available that night. If you're cool with the floor, we can talk. It would be cool to caravan back up to Winnipeg -- Solace will probably be riding along in my car as well. |

If someone had told me a year ago that the Pixies would be touring and Prince was going to sell out three consecutive dates at the Excel Energy Center...
Truly we have warped back into Minneap '89. I'll think I'll pick up a new Mats record at the Oarfolk before I drive home.

16 days Wooooohoooo....
and yes lafemmeaffole, they are beautiful. (I've been staring at my tickets for about 15 minutes every day since i got them.)
Not to tease anyone without tickets, but does anyone else with tickets feel like this show is 20 years away still? Every minute that clicks by brings us one minute closer to seeing the pixies....... heh |

I think it was you,Realist, who said, " not gay like two men, gay like hugs and campfire songs." This trivia idea of yours is the equivalent a two fat men hugging and singing show tunes. Why don't you just have a dance contest? It would have the same effect for me. NO THANKS. I would rather ignore my principals and buy off ebay than satisfy your need inflate your ego. I'd rather hold my breath for Havalina's extra than tuck my pride between my legs and play trivia with you. |

SelfDelusion, Yeah, great . . . just sixteen days till the big idiotic singalong, at which no true Pixies fan will be able to actually hear the band do its rendition of even its sub-par tunes. Instead we will hear Callous, Rooms, Joshes, Reallame, and you belting out all the numbers. Great. |

how about you DON'T speak for the board since you obviously can't tell the difference between an expression and being homophobic. it may not be politically correct to say something is "gay" or something is "retarded" but as far as i'm concerned, i think being politically correct is a big waste of time. it's impossible to make everybody happy all the time as one person will always be offended no matter how one tries to express oneself without offending. I think your time might be better spent trying to rehabilitate yourself from finding little kids attractive than concerning yourself about what i say and how i say it. retard |

Joshes, [Speaking for the board community . . .] We don't mind that you chose again to publicize how you feel about gay and mentally retarded people. We don't support your views, and we find them personally offensive. But this is a free country, and you are entitled to offend whomever you want. |
