You are, so just give up. Not one single one of us has ever done anything remotely worthy in our entire lives. You should give up on us and not even bother posting here anymore. |

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! HAHAHAHAHA! Oh, man...you crack me up! If I remember correctly..a member of the great band Pinback posts here quite often. There are also quite a few other accomplished musicians here...
Have I done anything "noteworthy or worth discussing"? I don't know...it depends on what you call "noteworthy or worth discussing." Ah, there's also another forum member who seems to be a stuck up bastard...I can't think of the person's name, though..
Oh, wait..

Crouton, let me put it a different way. Have you done ANYTHING you think might make interesting reading?
I was hoping in this thread we could talk/critique someone other than me. I realize many of you here are, and always will be, useless eaters but as this is a FB forum there must be creative genius lurking as well (I could be wrong). I would feel AWFUL if this site were devoted to me!!! |

i'm happy to discuss it.
i was buying my sandwich. a 12 inch BLT and a coke. the girl at the cash register asked me if i wanted anything else, and i glanced at the cookies and pondered inwardly "a cookie sounds good" but then decided against it. then she asked me if i'd like it for here or to go. i said "to go" because i needed to get back to the office. got a lot of stuff going on lately and no time to take the usual one-hour lunch. at the moment when she started ringing it up, i had second thoughts and asked her how much the cookies were. "how much are the cookies?" i believe were my exact words. having already rung up my order, the girl at the register said, "you know what, just take it".. and i said "really?" and she said "yeah, really"..
i'm presuming that the employee was either a.) apathetic and unconcerned with the profit earning of the Subway coproration b.) too lazy to re-reing up my order, c.) thought i was cute and/or d.) all or most of the above. |

I'm quite certain that a few of my hundred or so songs are among the greatest pop songs of all time. I'll let you know when I've recorded those songs on something other than a shitty 4-track cassette recorder. |

This thread is trouble waiting to happen. What happens when you start spouting off your achievements is others get jealous. And what does a personal achievement mean anyway to the general public? It's what it means to you that matters. Would it really impress anyone to know I'm a member of the U.S. Senate? There I said it. EAT ME BAILEY! |

I would be REALLY impressed, even if you were a democrat. I would call you sir even though you were younger than me. I would think WOW theres a Frank Black fan thats actually done something noteworthy with his life.
As far as people getting jealous I think this forum is in dire need of RET (rational emotive). If people will be honest I will help them.
I'm pretty sure the French guys here are short. Right? |

Well, while we are on the topic of free cookies at Subway, I figured I might mention this. A new Subway just opened up in my town, about a month or two ago. Since then, they've been handing out free cookies to students, regardless of what you buy. Get a coke, recieve a cookie, get a six inch turkey sub, get a free cookie. What a great system.

I moved 500 miles away from home 2 weeks after graduating high school to be a rock star and ended up stealing the drummer's girlfriend and quitting the band. Now I may very well be moving to England to be with an amazing girl whom I met on this Frank Black forum. The band I joined I also met through the AbstractPlain, a Frank Black mailing list. This would be the second time Frank Black indirectly influenced a major life decision. And you know the crazy thing? The first time I drove out to meet this band was the week of June 16, 2000. I'm going to England to meet Melanie for the first time on June 16, 2004. Fucking strange, huh?
I'm now also owner of the AbstractPlain, co-creator of FrankBlack.net, mod on the FB.net forum, was formerly in a band who toured with Frank Black (The Bennies), hung out back stage at every (except 1) Frank Black show I've been to...so wouldn't that make me the most noteworthy Frank Black fan?
P.S. I'm not being sarcastic...really.

Yeah but have you ever made shit rings.
Hey Barto, I didn't know you were considering moving to England to be with Mel!!! This just gets more romantic by the day. Boy I love romance, who said it is dead.
Mind you, don't say that about the June 16th thing 'cos the band thing didn't last. You don't want to jinx your relationship with Mel.
