| I just learned of this rumor that the pixies are comming to toronto...now of course i have no proof or anything and its just a rumor but could this b true, anyone from toronto hear anything about this cause i got a friend who heard of this and are making plans... |

I haven't heard anything either. I don't believe that they'll come here before Winnipeg, after Winnipeg and Coachella for sure but not before.

I wouldn't dismiss a secret Toronto show. But it'll be kept secret, likely, or someone's head will roll.
I also wouldn't be surprised to see a secret Boston show. And another one or two on the way to Minneapolis.
But this is completely unconfirmed and speculation by me, so take it at that level.

All signs point to Boston->Buffalo->Toronto->Windsor->Gary->Minneapolis. Thats what my sources tell me.

Bands love, and I mean *LOVE* crossing the US<->Canada border. Especially at Buffalo. Bridges are fun.

Kromkamp can back this up. Frnak comes to Toronto all the time. He does strings of shows at this bar called the horseshoe. He did a 5 day stretch one year. I would love if they decided to play the horseshoe. It's one of the best places to see a live show, awesome sound, great view from everywhere.

| FB does play often here in Toronto - I was lucky to see 2 of the 5 shows at the Horseshoe, and they were truly amazing. If a pixies show was ever announced in TO, I think the ticket lineups would be nuts -but again it would probably sell out within minutes. |

I'm hoping and expecting that if a Toronto show is announced it will be in the same fashion as the Minnesota show was just announced. As long as we keep our eyes on the board and radio station websites we should be ok. I mostly use the net at work anyway so it's no problem for me to keep checking a few times a day. If it is done the same way in Toronto my money's on CFNY announcing the show. Sure they suck ass but it's the only commercial alternative station we have so it would make sense for the show to be announced there.

Sounds like CFNY is the Toronto equivalent to Drive 105 then...
Hopefully they're better at running websites than Drive 105 is. |
