I tried to buy this cd earlier today on ebay but was outbid. Eventually sold for £13.50 (about 25USD). I haven't heard any tracks from the album but I understand that it's a pretty good live recording. Is it worth buying? How much do you think I'll need to pay?

IMO both editions are worth the price, for different reasons. The French (original) edition is a rarity, and the English one features 3 bonus tracks (early / acoustic versions of Modern Age, Jumping Beans and Abstract Plain).

I got my copy brand new from towerrecords.com several months ago. I think it was about $15. Not sure if they have any left, though.
eil.com has the French promo version in stock for £20.00.

It's worth buying, but wait til you can get cheap copy. There's a fun version of The Jacques Tati, but it's not the greatest show ever. It's mostly Yellow/orange and Teenager songs played without the keyboard parts, cause Feldman is on bass, non? That sounds right. Is there anything from the Teenager tour on the ftp? I'm too lazy to check. Either way don't pay too much for it. |

I think its a pretty dope release. I scored a copy on eBay not too long ago...and I was very pleased with it. I love the live versions of all the Orange/TOTY songs. Definitely worth adding to your collection, I think... though the versions of Jumping Beans and Modern Age tagged on at the end (just Frank and Joey playing) are pretty mediocre and the quality sucks horrid shite (the quality of just those two songs, that is!)

I got this CD about 5 or 6 years ago, and I thought it was pretty rad. Although the sound quality of the bonus songs is a bit low, I still loved them because it's Frank and Joey together again. |
